Interactive spanish lessons: conversation and grammar

I am a native Spanish speaker. I believe the best way to learn a new language is to be involved in conversations in the language, even at very beginner levels. Therefore, during my classes we will focus on obtaining the skills required for maintaining conversations in Spanish. This way, the grammar will be learnt in an interactive and really not overwhelming way. Nevertheless, constancy is key, so some useful homework will be assigned after each class.

I will provide textbook pages and material to the class, so just bring with you your willingness to learn the Spanish language and its culture!

However, if you need to focus on specific aspects due to high school curriculum, or for preparation for an exam, make sure to provide me with the appropriate information so that we keep the lessons as useful as possible!

I am a university student from Spain. I have had a lot of experience learning new languages, and I am now fluent at Italian, Spanish and English, and have some basic knowledge on Portuguese. Because of this, I know how difficult and frustraiting it can be to learn a new language, however, I also know that it can be a fun and fulfilling experience, and that is what I want to show in my classes.

Education

I am currently studying a bachelor at the Erasmus University of Rotterdam. I am also starting to take Dutch lessons and trying to improve my level on the language.

Hola amigos! My name is Kevin and I am a Business Administration professional with first-hand experience in tutoring foreign students from different nationalities. My linguistic spectrum consists of English, French and Spanish, which I master both orally and written. As a native Spanish speaker, I possess significant experience in the construction of argumentative texts and academic essays in Spanish.

On the personal side, one of my greatest passions are philosophy and literature. As such, I am constantly reading and translating texts in order to increase and develop my language skills. Consequently, my work methodology is mostly focused on motivating the student to speak freely and to learn by acknowledging his/her mistakes. From the beginning, I will try to address the lessons 100% in Spanish, with the aim of familiarizing the ear to the pronunciation. In terms of written exercises, it is important to know what are the student’s learning priorities. When starting with the written part, it is important to know the student is dedicated to practicing and that he will also benefit from this in his future experiences. This is why the exercises will address current social problems that allow him to be fluent when he meets other Spanish speakers.

In order for the student to learn as easily and efficiently as possible, homework exercises will be given after each lesson, drafted according to the parts that the students wishes to master best (speaking, reading, listening, writing). I am Laura , a Spanish woman living in The Hague. I have been teaching and helping high school students with their homework and study methods since 2014 as a private tutor. I have experience as a language teacher in different schools in Madrid (extracurricular activities) for children between 3 and 10 years old. I work as a Spanish teacher since 2019 in various countries, helping numerous students to improve their speaking, listening and writing skills.

I studied Nutrition and Dietetics (4 years bachelor) at Complutense University of Madrid. Most people need to revise the basics of language over and over again in order to master it, and having a good knowledge of how the language works at its core, i.e. its grammar, will help improve one's language skills drastically.
I think the best way of learning a language is by familiarizing yourself with it. I therefore like to conduct my lessons mainly in the target language. Moreover, I will tailor my lesson to the students' needs, a language has 4 core parts (Listening, Reading, Writing, and Speaking), and each of us has different strong points and weaknesses when it comes to expressing ourselves in a second language.
