My classes are suitable for beginners or more advanced students, as well as those looking to improve their conversation level. Whatever level you are in at the moment, we can start to build up knowledge from there. My aim is to make the lessons enjoyable and easy-going, placing emphasis on speaking Spanish.

I will easily adapt to your wishes and can also work with any material or book you would like to use (if there is any).

I am an International Relations student from Spain. I am currently living in The Hague for a year as an exchange student and taking courses at Leiden University.

A curious fact about me: Spanish is not my only mother tongue, I also speak Basque, a language spoken in the north-east of Spain and in a small region in France too.

I am passionate about art and music, and love spending time over a good book.

Opleiding

Back in Spain I study International Relations as a third year student at Deusto University in Bilbao. Here in The Netherlands I take courses at Leiden University.
I have also extensively studied English in academies; I have a C2 level certificate in English.

My goal is to teach younger children/students the correct way of the English language. I have had precious experience with tutoring while I lived in Germany. During my time in tutoring,I learnt that children tend to learn faster and easier when enjoying a lesson. I therefore try to keep my lessons fun and exciting but of course, effective. My lessons included tasks like word puzzles, role play, quizzes etc. I provide worksheets, but I am open to helping out with homework they received from school or anything they are having problems with. At the end of every few lessons, I like to give a small exam on what was learnt the past few hours. Just to see what can be improved or What has already become a plus.

I am Laura , a Spanish woman living in The Hague. I have been teaching and helping high school students with their homework and study methods since 2014 as a private tutor. I have experience as a language teacher in different schools in Madrid (extracurricular activities) for children between 3 and 10 years old. I work as a Spanish teacher since 2019 in various countries, helping numerous students to improve their speaking, listening and writing skills.

I studied Nutrition and Dietetics (4 years bachelor) at Complutense University of Madrid. Later and determined by my love for languages, I completed the BA in Linguistics in Leiden University, following the Brain and Cognition specialization, which focuses in how language and second languages learning works in a neural level.

Depending on the goal, the learning or lesson method is different. Normally, the first day I meet the student and we talk about what he or she expects and the topics we need to pay more attention. From that, I organise and structure a learning plan for reaching the desired goals (listening, speaking, writing, etc) or level (A1, A2, B1, B2, C1, C2).

This class is for those who would like to be comfortable at the everyday use of the Turkish language. From the basic and appropriate ways of introduction to more complex discussions, I will focus on grammar and pronunciation, as well as the cultural aspect of the language.
In the process of learning and using a language, it is fundamental to get deeper in the traditional sayings, proverbs and natural assimilations of the expressions, both to be more comprehensible and familiar in the conversation and to understand the essence of that culture and its people. And this is a very convenient skill for building strong relationships both in personal life and in professional life.
Therefore I will go beyond the technical, towards a more culture-oriented approach in my teaching and I believe it is the most efficient in the long term familiarization of a language.
