I enjoy teaching both harp and flute at my studio in Worthing and also offer lessons online. I studied at The Royal Academy of Music, London graduating with a first-class Master's degree and an LRAM music teaching qualification. Learning an instrument is a very rewarding and enjoyable experience and I teach students of all ages and abilities from complete beginner to advanced levels. Music theory will be integrated into the lessons and you will have the opportunity to take part in performances and work towards graded exams if you wish to do so or just play for fun! Estas clases de flauta son para todos aquellos que aman este increíble instrumento. ¡No importa tu nivel o tus motivaciones!

Aquí aprenderás sobre todos los aspectos técnicos de la flauta, como la respiración, la embocadura, la articulación, la flexibilidad, la digitación... Pero también considero importante que desarrolles otras habilidades que, en mi opinión, son completamente necesarias para ser un buen músico. Por ejemplo, trabajaremos tu lectura a primera vista, analizaremos las piezas interpretadas para que comprendas la armonía y la estructura... trabajaremos en la musicalidad y el estilo para que puedas desarrollar tu propio espíritu musical. También abordaremos técnicas de estudio para que adquieras habilidades que te harán completamente independiente. Todos los estilos musicales son bienvenidos en esta clase, así que no dudes en preguntarme y prepararé arreglos de las canciones que te gusten.

Als docent met meer dan 6 jaar ervaring bied ik privélessen aan voor alle leeftijden en alle niveaus.
Ik heb mijn lesvaardigheden geleerd van beroemde dwarsfluit-pedagogen van deze tijd. Ik heb ervaring met lesgeven aan zowel kinderen als volwassenen en ik vind het essentieel dat we allebei plezier hebben terwijl we zoiets geweldigs leren als muziek spelen! De lessen worden aangepast aan uw behoeften en we zullen samen uw muzikaliteit en technische vaardigheden ontwikkelen. Naast Klassieke muziek kunnen we als daar behoefte voor is ook werken aan andere muziekstijlen. Zo ben ik bekend met Braziliaanse volkmuziek, Barokmuziek, Moderne Muziek en Jazz.
Ook is het mogelijk om academische ondersteuning te vragen bij het instrument, muziektheorie of geschiedenis.

Lessen kunnen in het Engels en in het Nederlands. Als je zelf nog geen instrument hebt, kan ik wat suggesties geven over waar en hoe je er een kunt vinden/huren - aarzel niet om contact met me op te nemen als je interesse hebt.

My name is Aleksandar Nikolaev and I am from Bulgaria. I offer flute lessons (modern and traverso), piano and music theory, all ages and levels are welcome!

This class is for students of any age who wish to learn the transverse flute.

Learning an instrument takes time and commitment, but it's hugely rewarding - and it doesn't have to be boring! I have experience teaching students of all age and levels and I specialise in tailoring my teaching to meet the individual needs of each student.

Beginner flute lessons are suitable for students learning from scratch or those already playing up to about ABRSM Grade 2 level. In beginner flute lessons, you will learn the fundamentals of making a sound and play your first notes, as well as the basics of reading music. As lessons progress, you will learn your first short pieces and maybe even prepare for graded exams.

Intermediate lessons are suitable for students already playing at about ABRSM Grade 3 to Grade 5 levels. In these lessons, you will build on what you already know to expand your abilities on the flute. You will learn more about different musical styles and techniques and develop more confidence to express yourself through music.

Advanced lessons are for students already playing at about ABRSM Grade 6 and beyond. Depending on each student, lessons could involve growing more skills to take the advanced grade or diploma exams exams through to learning the skills to put together a recital programme or prepare for a music college audition. There is wide scope in these lessons to focus on your areas of interest, while still keeping an eye on the solid foundations of good flute technique and musicianship.
