Trumpet Lessons (Jazz Trumpet - Trumpet Technique - Music Theory)Translate this text using Google Translate.

My name is David, I'm a trumpet player, composer, and conductor based in Rotterdam. I started to study music when I was 8 years old and I get the Professional Music degree in the specialty of classical trumpet at the Conservatory of Noia (Galicia, Spain) and I've been playing Jazz since I was a teenager. In my country, I have been a student with teachers such as Paco Charlín or Abe Rábade, whom I have considered my mentors for years, but I have also studied and attended numerous masterclasses and workshops with internationally renowned teachers such as Michael Phillip Mossman, Antonio Hart, Darren Barret, Michel Camilo, Logan Richardson, Orrin Evans ...etc. With 18 years working and studying the trumpet, I have been fortunate to play with numerous artists and projects such as Phillip Dizack, Nelson Cascais, Kyle Poole, Dyna Stephens, Walter White, L.A.R. Legido, Jesús Santandreu, Pontejazz Big Band, CSM Big Band and also with different groups and orchestras of dance and Latin music. As a teacher, I have experience teaching in different schools, teaching trumpet lessons, music theory, and choir and ensemble conduction, working with both young children and adults and the elderly, aged between 4 and 85. My classes are individualized and personal, adapting to the needs and concerns of the student to help him evolve and meet his objectives.

Vocal and Music Lessons/ Free the voice / Enjoy SingingTranslate this text using Google Translate.

Two worlds I was born within two worlds, the East and the West; the folklore music of central Greece and the classical one. A major factor in the formation of my musicality comes from the tight relation of my family with Greek traditional music. However, music of any kind was always welcome at my home. Inspired by my father who is also a singer, I got involved in choir singing and started piano lessons. Opting for singing was a choice that gave me the freedom to express my mind. R’n’B & Latin At my first piano lessons, I realised how music is put on paper and the importance of it. At about the same time I started singing in the school choir of my secondary school and I kept being between the lead voices of the high school choir. That was the point where I practiced the different voice harmonies and got over my teenage reluctance by singing in front of the public. At the sweet age of 14, I developed a special interest in R’n’B and soul music. Later on, I got involved in the pop and rock scene but suddenly, Latin jazz music attracted my interest. One of the reasons I fell in love with Latin music is because I feel that each emotion is manifested at its maximum glory. Latin music is a mixture of cultures and backgrounds; it is the fusion of European harmony brought to the colonies with African rhythms like Cuban music was brought to New York. Singing as a vocal discovery I consider myself a people’s person. When teaching I have the need to welcome the student into a safe environment of acceptance where music can happen. In order for the student to let go of personal timidness, mutual trust comes with time yet is necessary. I prioritise my students’ needs; teach them the technical aspects they should know so as to develop a healthy instrument but also coach them so that they develop their taste in music. Because I have been singing various styles through my career, I believe I am quite a chameleon of styles (Latin, Brazilian, Jazz, Pop, Greek). In my lessons I find helpful to use some mini percussion so that the singer can establish an internal metronome. I am very supportive with each individuals’ needs and goals, that is why I always make a personal profile of my students and their progress and also ask them to design their personal dream board. All in all, I always use a combo of methods and adapt at the personal needs of the student. Singing for me is always a vocal discovery and this is what I would like to help my students achieve. The essential idea is to develop a healthy instrument with which you can express through the good and bad days. I have been studying with different teachers around the Netherlands (Codarts alumni) and Greece and during this time I have realised that learning can happen anywhere and anytime.

Music is a blessing, and it’s my joy to share its inspiration and beauty with you and your loved ones. With over 10 years of teaching singing and piano to students aged 5 to 75, I aim to create transformative lessons that go beyond music scores and studio walls. • Discovering your voice type, genre fit, and vocal potential • Universal vocal techniques and exercises • Classical foundations adapted for modern styles • Singing while playing an instrument • Piano technique and repertoire building • Style and interpretation • Solfège, ear training, and music theory • Artistic expression, storytelling, and creativity • Audition prep, performance skills, and stage fright support ⸻ Singing Lessons The human voice is our most intuitive instrument—uniquely beautiful and incredibly powerful. As a classically trained singer with experience in both traditional and crossover genres, I help students extend their vocal range and expression through healthy, sustainable techniques. Using vivid imagery and technical precision, I’ll guide you to understand your voice deeply and express yourself freely, making music that is both healing and fulfilling. ⸻ Piano Lessons With 25 years of piano experience—from beginner to conservatory level—this versatile instrument has shaped who I am as a musician. Whether your goal is to play your favorite piece, support your child’s musical growth, or accompany yourself as a singer-songwriter, I tailor lessons to your goals and schedule. My piano teaching focuses on three key areas: • Technical foundations, exercise and fingerings • Style and interpretation across repertoire • Music theory, analysis, sight-reading, and improvisation

Music Lessons - Piano/Cello/Composition/Theory/Improvisation - Classical/Jazz/ContemporaryTranslate this text using Google Translate.

As a graduate of both Cello and Piano in the Conservatory in Spain, and a final-year student of Compostion at CODARTS Rotterdam, I can provide very solid an tailor-made explanations and guidance for the discovery, understanding, and practice of musical concepts - theoretical, instrumental, and compositional. I strongly believe that everyone has the capacity to express themselves creatively to the highest degree, whether it be playing already existing pieces, improvising, or composing, and have tested methods for teaching how to read, write, integrate, and play around with musical information in my practice as a teacher in a Music School in Hoogvliet for the past 2 years. Teaching music and sharing my knowledge and approach to it has been something i've been drawn to all my life. I believe that every student deserves an individual way of explaining and practicing different ideas suitable for their own experience and personality. I am extremely grateful for the opportunity that I had growing up of being taught by some of the most respected music pedagogues in Spain and am very excited to be able to share with other people, regardless of the scope of their expectations within music. Please feel free to reach out for any question you might have!
