I teach modern Greek to beginners that speak English or German. I also teach directly in Greek to intermediate or advanced students, as well as beginners that live in Greece. I focus on making the lesson as communicative as possible. The lessons are tailored to the learner's level, goals, needs & preferences, while placing particular emphasis on developing communication skills. The basic skills of language learning (reading, listening, writing & speaking) are equally emphasized. Modern Greek is a difficult language to learn, nevertheless it will surely enrich your world. It takes years of dedication to master it. Learning Greek in Greece is very helpful, as it is a difficult language to learn and in Greece you can practice it directly in your daily activities. With Greek knowledge you will be able to travel all over Greece and Cyprus while communicating with the people you meet in their mother tongue. Learning modern Greek gives you understanding in ancient Greek as well, and a lot of international words that have an ancient Greek root. A total beginner typically needs 3-4 years of 2-hour weekly lessons to be able to communicate on an intermediate level of B1. Specializing in both literary and economic texts, I take care of beginners as well as advanced people who want to progress in French. It is the same for all levels in Greek. Graduated from the University of Sorbonne IV Paris, I also work on corrections of memoirs, comments and translations. All the material for the French literary baccalaureate and for the French literature of the Aristotle Universities of Thessaloniki and Kapodistrian of Athens are provided free of charge. MY METHODOLOGY Expert for beginners, since I have worked a lot on my "beginners" method which is based on my own experience in collaboration with specialist writers from CLE international and so we proceed in stages.
