If your child is having difficulties in school, I would love to be able to help them overcome them. I had the opportunity to work in several non-profit organizations (Schola ULB, Youth Club, CIFA, ABEF) where I helped young adolescents to understand their subject in French, English and Dutch. I also helped them prepare for their exams, including the CEB and CE1D. We will work together on their lessons, we will review the vocabulary and grammar they need to know and we will work on their difficulties in order to overcome them. I use several methods which are specially conceived to teach Dutch to people who have a different mother tongue. I really like to use methods out of the ordinary like role games or methods with which you learn while playing. All these adapted to the student's situation of course. As I learned myself a couple of other languages, it is easy for me to detect difficulties a student can encounter and adapt the way of learning. I can teach in English, French, German and Russian.

In our class we will be relaxed, I will help you with the Dutch conversation, the grammar, reading (like an article or a topic what I will give you). I will help students for beginners-lower-intermediate level. After every lesson I will give you homework for the next lesson. First of all, I think it is important that we have fun while learning. After all, that makes learning much more fun! In the lessons I am happy to help you with your grammatical questions about Dutch. We can also work on your speaking, writing and/or listening skills. Do you want help with your homework assignments? This is certainly possible! I would like to hear at what level you master the language and what you would like to learn. I like to challenge you but don't want to overwhelm you. The price for the lesson is for 1 person.

I am a very experienced teacher in Dutch as a second language. I love working with people from other countries because it widens my view and apart from teaching you a new language, I will learn from you about new cultures. For me, learning a new language is first of all learning to get around in daily life. So, a beginners course will always start with this basic information: introducing yourself; making appointments with the dentist, hairdresser, and so on; shopping; going to a restaurant; etc. On an intermediate level, we will work on your speaking skills: having a conversation with your colleagues about your weekend, reading a newspaper article and talk about it; talking about your hobbies, etc. With advanced students we can work on whatever field they need; for example work or other things that are important for you.

A qualified language coach with 22 years of experience offers intensive Dutch lessons in a small class or online. I give many Dutch NT2 lessons to expats and in preparation for an integration exam. Specialized in guiding for the State Exam I and II. Special exam coach. In October 2023 I will also start groups again. We have an excellent classroom in the center of Rotterdam, near the Beurs metro station, lessons with small homogeneous groups (little difference in level). That can also be done in five to ten full days, I am used to giving these very intensive trainings to CEOs or managers who want it faster and more intensive ... all lessons within 3 or 4 weeks. I have been giving tutoring to children of different ages for a few years now. I also have a lot of experience as a babysitter and as an au pair, so I'm used to working with children and helping them get ahead and helping them see how much they can actually do!
