Attention, piano enthusiasts, beginners - piano course for young pianists

Translated by Google. Click to view original.
This course is intended for piano enthusiasts, curious and slightly advanced pianists.

The goal is to learn a basic understanding and feeling for playing the piano in order to ultimately be able to master simple to moderately difficult pieces without problems.

I myself already enjoyed a twelve-year classical education at the music school and therefore have a comprehensive understanding of my instrument and the associated music theory.
In past years I also played percussion instruments such as drums and am currently practicing playing the violin.

    I'm happy for you!

    About Me

    Hello,

I'm Victoria and who are you?

Currently I am living in Vienna and offer a lot of different courses, because through my versatile interest I have acquired some skills over the years, which I would like to pass on now.

If you would ask my friends*, they would probably call me a free spirit, a bookworm and a little idealist. Especially art and culture have been very appealing to me. So I regularly attend theatre performances, write my own little pieces and since 2008 I enjoy a classical piano education at the music school.

I also speak a variety of languages. The fact that I speak my mother tongue, German, fluently is not surprising, but I also know how to express myself in English and French.

Starting in October 2020 I will study German Philology and Philosophy at the University of Vienna. So if you need food for thought or support in learning German, I am here to help.

Hopefully we will get to know each other soon, I am looking forward to meeting you!

    Education

2012 - 2020 Eculingua Gymnasium der Kreuzschwestern Linz (humanistic - modern language)

starting October 2020 German Philology and Philosophy at the University of Vienna

    Experience / Qualifications

    since 2008 classical piano education

2015 British Council CFE (English B2)
2015 - 2016 French Theatre (French Embassy Vienna)
2016 French Chemistry (French Embassy Vienna)
2017 Cambridge First Certificate (English B2/C1)
2019 Diplôme d'études en langue francaise (French B1/B2)
This course is intended for those who like French as a second language, the Diplôme d'études en langue francaise (DELF) or support in learning and practicing the language. For eight years I attended the humanistic-new language grammar school of the Kreuzschwestern Linz, where I attended eight years of French lessons. Among other things, I participated in projects at the French Embassy in Vienna in the subjects of theater and chemistry. Last year I passed the Dilôme d'études en langue francaise level B1 with almost all points, so you could say that I have level B2. I would be happy if I can help you learn French 😊
This course is intended for those who would like to use English as a second language, the Cambridge First Certificate (FCE) or support in learning and practicing the language. For eight years I attended the humanistic-new language grammar school of the Kreuzschwestern Linz, where I attended eight years of English classes. Among other things, I already reached level B2 at the British Council, the Kent School of England in 2015. In 2017, level B2 was again certified by the Cambridge First Certificate (FCE). I have particularly excellent knowledge in writing, but I can also pass on the English grammar to you without difficulty or I can also prepare you for a wide variety of exam formats. I would be happy to help you learn 😊

Voice, music and ear training for all ages and styles
Singing and making music are a lot of fun, but not the easiest thing... no matter which level you're at. For this, one needs energy, concentration and, above all, patience. But who succeeds in making progress finds that it's the best feeling ever to make music while using you best potential. That's what I can help with. You sing all the time, but you want to improve your technique? Or you're a complete beginner and you want to get a taste of this intriguing music world? You're already singing in a band but you feel like your voice is getting tired easily, or that you need some tricks for finding notes? Then I can definitely help you, no matter your age or your style of music. My goal with this course is that you find your hobby easier and even more fun than it is already. I'm currently finishing my master's degree in opera singing at the MUK and I use my knowledge to sing pop, jazz, funk... and so on, accompanied by my guitar/keyboard. I'm looking forward to getting to know you!

Piano Lessons for Music Lovers and Time-Starved Professionals
Hello there! Do you wish to learn to play the piano but do not have several hours every day to dedicate to practicing? I can help! With 15 years of teaching experience, I’ve honed my methods to facilitate rapid progress and maximize efficiency. My students achieve in months, what usually takes years when following a conventional music school program. Nonetheless, I am not taking any shortcuts. On the contrary, one of the reasons why my students progress so fast is my insistence on building solid fundamentals. I strive for my students to master the necessary tools for them to then achieve their own personal ambitions. Having observed the practice routines of professionals and university students worldwide, I've realized that there's often much time to be gained during practice. Realizing everyone's personnality, approach, affinities and tastes are different, I prioritize a personalized approach tailored to your individual learning style. Together, we'll make the most of our sessions, whether you're a beginner diving into music or an intermediate player seeking to enhance your skills. And guess what? You won't need to practice for hours on end to see significant improvement. With regular lessons, even just 15 minutes of practice three times a week can lead to enormous progress. As I often say, the learning process is more akin to a marathon than a sprint. While efficiency is important, I believe that learning should be fun and inspiring. In my lessons, you can expect a supportive and encouraging environment. I'll be there with you every step of the way, celebrating your achievements and helping you overcome any challenges that arise. Together, we'll create a positive and empowering learning experience. Ready to embark on your fast and efficient piano learning journey? Contact me to schedule lessons and get ready for a rewarding musical adventure! Looking forward to hearing from you! Carl

Groovy, dynamic lessons in Jazz Piano, Music Theory and/or Music Production In English or Spanish (Klavier, Jazz, Musik Theorie, Produktion)
In my experience over the past few years as a piano teacher to students of all levels and ages, I have found that people learn so much more when they are able to express themselves and have a fun time from the very first lesson. For this reason I focus on teaching piano and music through the lens of jazz, which allows for so much freedom as well as being really educational in all different styles of music. In my classes you will learn how music really works in a relevant way by studying music that you yourself enjoy listening to and would like to create, and practice dynamically using tools like backing tracks which make it feel like there is a band in the room with you! I also produce electronic/funk/neo soul music for my solo project and as a session musician. If learning music production interests you, I can also help you with that! I am happy to teach in my house in the 7th district or as well I can come to you. Please don't hesitate to be in touch. Thanks!

Play your favorite songs straight away, write your own songs and record them (git or keys)
LEARNING BY HEART Learn to play/sing favorite songs: - Depending on your ability, we simplify (or enrich) the accompaniment and improve it in a fluid manner - I'll show you various "hacks" and shortcuts - you don't have to do anything "right", you can follow the fun. - play/practice without pressure, how does that work...? You can make it easier for yourself! How much time you invest stays with you. :-) - any style possible, as long as it makes sense for you technically - Singing: easy! Write your own songs: - I give you different "glasses", "rails" through which you come up with new ideas, both for the music as well as the lyrics and singing - "writers block" - from the head back to the heart using simple techniques - learn to use the hidden treasure trove of ideas in your body (subconscious)! - and most importantly: have fun with “bad” songs! generally: - you will find clear goals for each hour (e.g. record a song or parts of it,...), for the next few weeks and for the next months - we record as much as possible because it is the best exercise (and the most exciting ;-) and you have something "in your hands" that is satisfying in itself, no matter how "perfect" it is (everything is perfect How clean is up to you ;-). - I'll help you promote the joy of sharing your music ("I can give something!") - and above all: learn to feel what really makes you happy. It's important to me that you feel safe with me and have fun, no matter how things are going. I'm happy if you dare, it can only get better! :-)

Piano lessons - music theory and harmony - for any level
I teach for all levels, from children starting from zero to students who want to prepare certifications at the Conservatories, passing through amateurs or simply curious of any age. I firmly believe in the importance of knowing how to read music and this is exactly what I teach first, obviously adapting the method to the age of my students: knowing how to read music is knowing one more language, which, if learned well, won’t ever be forgotten (like riding a bicycle!) and it is an invaluable wealth. Starting from that point I teach the position of the hand, the arm and the whole body at the piano, the fundamentals of the piano technique (giving great importance to the percussive movement of the finger and the distribution of weight), the understanding of musical language, the expression of the personality through the keyboard, the search for touch and knowledge of piano repertoire.

Beginner to Advanced Lessons for Guitar Players for all ages
After dedicating 14 years to mastering the guitar, I've developed a comprehensive understanding of guitar playing, encompassing both foundational techniques and advanced music theory. In these lessons, I'll be sharing the wealth of knowledge I've accumulated over this extensive period of learning. I will be covering a broad range of guitar techniques, including fingerpicking, strumming techniques, major and minor chords, power chords, barre chords, riffs, scales, finger warm-ups, practising any song of your choice, string bending, pull-offs, hammer-ons, harmonics, strumming patterns, and slides. All are provided with diagrams etc. For music theory, I will begin by covering the fundamentals, including notes, strings, and the musical 12-note chromatic scale alphabet on the guitar. As students progress, we will delve into more advanced topics such as tones, semitones, chord progressions, circle of fifths, scale formulas and chord terminology. Additionally, we will explore concepts like consonance and dissonance and pitch practice to develop relative pitch. (You have to be born with perfect pitch but you can learn relative pitch with practise!) Then advancing to jazz theory, we'll explore; jazz scale formulas, jazz chord progressions, swing techniques, major and minor 7th chords, major and minor 9th chords, dominant, augmented, half-diminished, diminished, sus2 and sus4 chords. And then jazz scales and the art of re-harmonising a song (changing the chords to jazz chords). All music theory will be intertwined with guitar practice as both can't be done without the other! One observation I've made while learning guitar through lessons is that information is often doled out incrementally, making it feel like a breadcrumb trail. Guitar knowledge and skills seem to be closely guarded and usually gatekept unless actively sought out. I strongly believe that the extensive knowledge I've acquired over 14 years of playing should be fruitfully shared in a more comprehensive and accessible manner, of course while being tailored to the pace of the students. In essence, I'm convinced that the depth of my understanding I've gained could be effectively conveyed and learnt within a two-year timeframe without including the time it takes to master the skill with practice, of course, I'd like to make it easier for people to learn the guitar and the theory behind it. I have also graduated with a distinction for my Music Performance and Production UAL Level 3 Course and have experience teaching guitar in London and Bristol before. The lessons will be taught in English so practising your English with me is also a plus, a foundational knowledge of English is required to take the lessons.

    Cheslava
Piano and Singing tutor with 5 years experience and professional education
From my childhood I have been studying music and art: sang in choir and solo, played piano, painted, studied music history and literature, solfeggio. Later in college I have also learned choir conducting, had ensemble and choir singing lessons, cultural studies. During last year in university I had pedagogy practice at university and at private art school (where I worked as a music tutor before the war - piano, voice). I truly enjoyed working with students. They all were different age (8 - 40+ years old) and level. But all were very interesting and work was pleasant. My education was very various: my core subjects were conducting, choir, voice, piano. So it allowed me to work with children, teens and adults with quite wide range of interests and needs: some students needed/wanted to learn particular composition(s), sometimes pop songs arrangements, some were interested in “introduction” to the music, some wanted to renew skills they gained in their childhood and continue their journey to the music world. In addition I prepared presentations (which contained information about cultural and historical background and musical and character/art analysis). So after graduation from choir conducting faculty (which allowed me to deepen my knowledge in many important compatible branches) I concentrated on studying classical singing and piano, expanded my cultural studies and analysis knowledge, practiced solfeggio and harmony.
