My approach is relaxed and challenging at the same time. I think it is important that the student is at ease so that he / she speaks as much as possible. Perhaps my greatest asset is that I am genuinely curious about my students and really listen. Furthermore, I adapt as much as possible to the needs of the participants and I promote self-taught action. My material is largely custom made.
My passions are language and literature.

I studied drama in Brussels (INSAS) and then worked as an actress for ten years. Then I trained as a French-Dutch translator/interpreter in Utrecht (ITV). Since 2005, I've been working as a freelance language trainer for language agencies like Elan Languages, Talk Forum, and Elohim. I've also taught in adult education (PCVO, Syntra).

A qualified language coach with 25 years of experience offers intensive Dutch lessons in a small class or online.

I give many Dutch NT2 lessons to expats and in preparation for an integration exam.
Specialized in guiding for the State Exam I and II. Special exam coach.

In January 2025 I will also start with groups again. We have a great classroom in the center of Rotterdam, near metro station Beurs, lessons with small homogeneous groups (little difference in level).

I use several methods which are specially conceived to teach Dutch to people who have a different mother tongue. I really like to use methods out of the ordinary like role games or methods with which you learn while playing. All these adapted to the student's situation of course. As I learned myself a couple of other languages, it is easy for me to detect difficulties a student can encounter and adapt the way of learning. I can teach in English, French, German and Russian.
