Good morning,

I offer English support courses for all levels in Paris and the Paris region.
I am a Master 2 student at the University of Paris-Dauphine in Market Finance, I completed an exchange semester in New York and my gap year in London. I master English perfectly and I gave lessons throughout my schooling to students aged between 6 and 17 years old.

Having lived in different Anglo-Saxon countries and having completed several internships abroad, I master not only solid English, professional jargon but also the spoken language of different countries.
During my gap year in London, I had the opportunity to work on a 'Trading Floor' a bit like the Wolf of Wall Street, so I can teach you to speak like real Wall Street bankers ;).

My teaching is flexible and adapts to the student according to their level, their academic needs and their age. I like to transmit a taste for knowledge, and teach the English language to others using imaginative means. I am very educational and patient, and I adapt to all profiles and all ages.

Marcella
Hello there! My name is Marcella, born and raised in the Netherlands and fond of travelling all around the globe. Today I own a travel website and write for some magazines. To make a bit more cash and to keep up with my former life as a teacher, I teach some extra classes to teenagers and adults alike. I am a qualified teacher of the English language with a specialisation in working with teenagers who are challenged by ADHD, Autism, ADD and PDDNOS. After working as an English teacher and mentor in different types of schools in the Netherlands, Belgium and South Africa I am currently living in Paris and very motivated to help students improve their English in different ways.

I used to successfully run a homework institution before leaving the Netherlands where I helped teenagers focus, plan, learn and reflect on their own process. I am willing to teach broader than English only and help teenagers plan, find motivation back and get back on track in case the need is there. Having taken a fair amount of courses in psychology and after years of experience with demotivated teenagers I can help you find your motivation back and set refreshing goals.

I am ver flexible in switching from grammar lessons, to conversational English, to analysing texts and essay writing and can teach pretty much on demand.

My lessons will be fun, open-minded, with interesting topics. So whether you have a teenager at home who needs some motivation, are a business person who wants to be more confident in speaking English, or polish up your grammar or overall English before travelling to an English-speaking country, you can count on me!

(Besides being fluent in English I speak a basic French, German, Swedish and Dutch as my mother tongue).

Arno
My name is Arno and I am currently getting my master's degree at Sciences Po Paris in European Affairs. I have always loved languages. I was raised in a trilingual environment through which I learned Dutch, English, and Armenian. Being raised in this environment has changed the way I look at languages. Besides these three, I also speak Norwegian, Spanish, and French at a B2 level (CEFR) as well as Arabic at B1 level (CEFR).

I have more than 5 years of professional experience in language tutoring and know what works and what does not. I have tutored high school and college students and have taught languages to students as young as 7 and as old as 63. My most rewarding language tutoring experience was teaching Dutch to Syrian refugees. Through them, I truly understood the importance of language and how it can connect people from across the world.

My personal approach to language learning as a combination of learning how to speak quickly and truly understanding grammar. I try to integrate conversations in the target language from the first class, while at the same time teaching grammar in an accessible way. I understand that students often find grammar daunting, but with the right approach, it truly does not have to be. I do not believe in a "first learn, then apply" approach. When I teach, I want students to start engaging with the language from day one.

Whether you have been studying for years, or you are starting from scratch, I am sure that we can make you feel more confident in your abilities in no time!
