Discovered Daniel on this platform. His description spoke to me a lot, and I knew straight away that he was the teacher I was looking for. Once I found my sax, I organized my lessons with it. And I am more than happy to have this person as my teacher. He exudes experience, his ear is very fine and will surprise you

A good teacher and a very pleasant fellow! He specializes more on music theory and improvisation as opposed to technique and tone mastery. Struggles a bit with English, but he's eventually able to get his point across anyhow!
The lesson was great. Daniel knows and responds to the student's needs.

I am a multi-instrumentalist (saxophone, transverse flute, keyboard), composer and arranger (SACEM member since 2012), excellent improviser. This course will allow you quickly, whatever your instrument and your technical level, to understand and master the chord sequences and the articulation of musical language according to these sequences. In addition, you will learn the most frequent or rare harmonic structures used by composers. And, theory notwithstanding, you will learn to develop your ear to identify harmonic structures. This course also includes an introduction to the history of jazz.

Saxophone lessons for all levels, jazz and other styles
I graduated from the CNSMDP (National Conservatory of Music and Dance in Paris) in Saxophone Jazz (Master). I teach saxophone for all types of levels and styles. I like to approach learning this instrument through oral transmission rather than through methods or scores. This is how I learned music and jazz in particular. (I also oriented my dissertation around solo recording and learning through imitation.) However, I read music very well and can work with scores if the student prefers to work that way, or if the style of music requires sheet music.

Naline
Concert pianist graduate Frederic Chopin University of Music in Warsaw gave piano and music theory lessons
< about the course > I give piano lessons for people of all ages and levels from 5 years old, mainly students and adults. I respect each student's individuality and approach each from a different perspective. I propose a method adapted to each student. Having traveled through Korea, Poland, Germany and France, I have taught piano to students of different nationalities, and I aim to increase students' potential based on my many musical experiences and performance activities. I can help with many areas including touch, intonation, listening and music theory. Additionally, I can give advice on how to express music and creative expressions. Of course, depending on the level of the piano, the work can be chosen by the student or I can recommend it. I teach on an upright piano at home. Pianist and piano teacher of South Korean nationality. I lived in Korea, Poland and Germany, and I now teach piano in Paris, France, and I share my experiences in different countries with my students. Bachelor's and master's degree from Frédéric Chopin University of Music (Warsaw, Poland), La Schola Cantorum de Paris, Alexandre Scriabine Russian Conservatory in Paris (Certificate of Perfectionnement Concert), DEM de CRR de Cergy-Pontoise. I am a piano teacher at the Villemomble conservatory.

Private guitar lessons at home or online.
Hello I am a jazz guitarist and I give guitar lessons for all levels at home (from 13 years old). I live in Porte de Bagnolet, but I can travel throughout Paris. I play regularly in big clubs like the Duc des Lombards and the Sunset, but also I have toured the United States and played in the legendary “Jazz at Licoln Center” and other important places like the Spectrum theater in Washington DC I worked in a Big Band for 4 years, so deciphering is one of my strong points, if you are interested, I use a very simple reading method that gives magnificent results. Now I am a student at the CRR in Paris and I give private lessons for my support and also for my musical projects.. My method changes depending on the needs of the student if you want to deepen your knowledge of harmony and musical theory to use it on the instrument, if you want to improve your technique, if it is just to learn songs and have fun , if you want to know the differences of each style, I will help you to have a clearer awareness in music and this will strengthen your abilities in interpretation, improvisation and composition, whatever the style. I will be happy to tell you more by messages on this site if you want to know more.

Piano lessons, all styles, jazz and improvisation.
Who hasn't dreamed of sitting down at the piano and playing? I started music almost 40 years ago. With a great experience of the scene, I can help you develop your ear, to learn the bases of the piano, the technical and theoretical notions which will allow you to better understand this language and to become independent. I also teach reading American writing so that I can read a jazz standard or a pop song. I can guide you through some exercises to improve your technique. Whether you are amateur or experienced, if you wish, we will address the vast universe of improvisation.

Beginner to Advanced Lessons for Guitar Players for all ages
After dedicating 14 years to mastering the guitar, I've developed a comprehensive understanding of guitar playing, encompassing both foundational techniques and advanced music theory. In these lessons, I'll be sharing the wealth of knowledge I've accumulated over this extensive period of learning. I will be covering a broad range of guitar techniques, including fingerpicking, strumming techniques, major and minor chords, power chords, barre chords, riffs, scales, finger warm-ups, practising any song of your choice, string bending, pull-offs, hammer-ons, harmonics, strumming patterns, and slides. All are provided with diagrams etc. For music theory, I will begin by covering the fundamentals, including notes, strings, and the musical 12-note chromatic scale alphabet on the guitar. As students progress, we will delve into more advanced topics such as tones, semitones, chord progressions, circle of fifths, scale formulas and chord terminology. Additionally, we will explore concepts like consonance and dissonance and pitch practice to develop relative pitch. (You have to be born with perfect pitch but you can learn relative pitch with practise!) Then advancing to jazz theory, we'll explore; jazz scale formulas, jazz chord progressions, swing techniques, major and minor 7th chords, major and minor 9th chords, dominant, augmented, half-diminished, diminished, sus2 and sus4 chords. And then jazz scales and the art of re-harmonising a song (changing the chords to jazz chords). All music theory will be intertwined with guitar practice as both can't be done without the other! One observation I've made while learning guitar through lessons is that information is often doled out incrementally, making it feel like a breadcrumb trail. Guitar knowledge and skills seem to be closely guarded and usually gatekept unless actively sought out. I strongly believe that the extensive knowledge I've acquired over 14 years of playing should be fruitfully shared in a more comprehensive and accessible manner, of course while being tailored to the pace of the students. In essence, I'm convinced that the depth of my understanding I've gained could be effectively conveyed and learnt within a two-year timeframe without including the time it takes to master the skill with practice, of course, I'd like to make it easier for people to learn the guitar and the theory behind it. I have also graduated with a distinction for my Music Performance and Production UAL Level 3 Course and have experience teaching guitar in London and Bristol before. The lessons will be taught in English so practising your English with me is also a plus, a foundational knowledge of English is required to take the lessons.

Solfege & Oriental Solfege: Quarter Note - Rast, Bayet, Siga, Kord, Hijaz, Ajam, Nahawand - Major & Minor Scales
With over 8 years of experience as a Solfege, Oriental Solfege, Oud, and Oriental singing teacher, I am a Lebanese musician currently residing in Mönchengladbach, Germany. I honed my skills for 8 years at the Lebanese National Conservatory. Prior to my relocation, I taught at Casa Beethoven Academy in Lebanon and also held private music lessons. As a concertmaster, I performed with the oriental orchestra "Loubnan Assalam" for over 5 years. My move to Germany was motivated by my pursuit of graduate studies at the University of Kamp-Lintfort. Fluent in English, Couramment en français, ولغتي الأم هي اللغة العربية. Aber leider spreche Ich ein bisschen Deutsch. Solfege, the foundation of music theory, is an essential tool for any musician who wishes to understand and create music. It provides a way to identify and communicate notes, intervals, and rhythms, and it is the key to developing musical literacy. In this class, you will delve into the world of scales, exploring the unique characteristics of Western and Oriental scales. We will study the following scales: Rast, Bayet, Siga, Kord, Hijaz, Ajam, Nahawand- Major & Minor Scales. In addition to these Western and Oriental scales, we will also introduce you to the quarter note, which is not traditionally found in Western music. It is a quarter note with a unique and distinct sound. Whether you are a beginner or an experienced musician, this class will provide you with the knowledge you need to use scales effectively for improvisation, singing, and playing any instrument. With this knowledge, you will be able to: * Read and write music (dictation) in solfège notation for both Western and Oriental scales. * Identify and communicate notes accurately in the context of various musical traditions. * Develop a deeper understanding of music theory and rhythmic concepts. * Infuse your musical performances with a broader range of expressive possibilities. We will use the book "المقامات الشرقية by Georges Farah" as the main reference for our study of Oriental solfège. This book is considered the best book in the Middle East to teach Oriental Solfège. Discover the power of solfège to enhance your musical skills and open up a world of new possibilities!
