I am a TEW student at the KULeuven and would like to offer my services to secondary school students who could use some help outside school hours. Together with my students, I look for the right study approach to fully understand the courses and I myself try to present the subject matter in a different way so that my students gain more insight into the subject matter to be known. I myself graduated from the Sint-Albertus College in Haasrode with a diploma in science mathematics (6 hours) and I was brought up perfectly bilingual (Dutch-French).

It is important that I know how the lesson is taught by the teacher. That is why I always prepare my lessons on the basis of the teacher's workbook. Then I teach from the very beginning. I am convinced that you can never build on things without a good foundation. Does this base not work? Then we'll just start over until we get the hang of it! For a further build-up in difficulty I fully adapt to the pace of the student, this is important to be able to remember everything in the long term, such as for a test within a few days. After class I am also available 24/7 to forward small questions or extra exercises that we can discuss in a next lesson. So no worries, you can always contact me. :)

Mathematics can be a fairly difficult subject. especially if you are still in primary and have to learn the basics that will become very important later. Hi everyone, I am a Belgian student, currently, I'm in my first master's year at the KULeuven. I chose a master's in 'Rehabilitation sciences and physiotherapy specialization musculoskeletal disorders'. During my bachelor years, I developed a very good basic knowledge of science subjects and mathematics: I studied statistics for 3 years, molecular cell biology, chemistry, physics, biomechanics, biochemistry and anatomy. The quality of teaching of both the University of Leuven as the high school I went to (Heilig Hartcollege Tervuren) is something I am very happy/thankful for. I would love to share the education and the knowledge I acquired by supporting and teaching you or your child/teen. I would consider it as a sort of study pathway counseling. As I already have a bachelor's degree in one of the highest-ranked universities in Europe, I have a broad knowledge of quite some subjects. Mathematics and science subjects can weigh heavily in your study career during secondary education. It is therefore important to perform well on this. This can be a challenge for many students, especially in the third grade. In my lesson I try to explain the subject matter to students using their own course, my old course and extra exercises. The ultimate goal is for students to gain a better understanding of their course.

- As for the lessons. The lessons are about mathematics of secondary education. More specifically, I will assist in the theoretical processing of mathematics as its application (the exercises). In addition, I will provide additional study material (aids, schedules, ...) if necessary. - Way of handling. I would like to have an overview in advance of the study material, the tests or tasks in which certain problems are visible, .... This way I can prepare the lessons in advance and focus on the problem. In addition, I can estimate / determine his / her level in this way. I try, in a simple way and for the student in an understandable way, to explain the course in a different way so that this is clear to the student. Afterwards I like to enjoy the results. - Why am I doing this? Math is a passion of mine and for me there is nothing more fun than sharing my passion. I am 22 years old and I live in a student flat in Leuven. In high school itself, I had a traumatic experience in first and second high school for mathematics. I thought it was a very interesting and cool subject, but I just couldn't understand it. During these years I had the same teacher, who did not teach me the subject matter in a, for me, the right way. After (compulsory by my parents) tutoring, my interest in mathematics increased to such an extent that I started studying economics mathematics in the following years. My love for math just won't go away...
