About Me
Hi, I'm Thymo! I am 17 years old and recently completed my pre-university education. This is the most theoretical level of VWO in the Netherlands.
I want to be a high school history teacher later in life. That's why I'm starting my bachelor's degree in history at the VU on September 1, but before that (and maybe during my student days) I'm looking for a job to keep me busy. I already have some experience in education: I have already given one-to-one tutoring at havo level in Dutch education for three years and have worked at a homework institute for about six months. However, both jobs are temporarily put on hold.
In those two jobs, I immersed myself in and supported each subject in the Dutch curriculum. However, my strongest points are:

• Dutch
• English
I can also help with other lessons but this will be a bit more of a problem and will require special consultation between the two of us. A short disclaimer: I can only teach/tutor at pre-university level, as I have only completed the educational levels prior to university.
I would like to tutor a high school student. Education level does not matter: vwo, havo or vmbo from the Dutch system, or maybe something completely different! I have a passion for education and would like to tutor more. I am often described as enthusiastic and energetic, and I can explain well. In addition, I am very involved in the work and I take it very seriously.
I am fluent in Dutch and have completed my English at Cambridge C2 level with an A, meaning I have mastered the language to the point of being a native speaker. I am willing to tutor in both languages.
I am willing to possibly tutor people who are not in high school, but who would like to learn about history. In that case it is important that we discuss the details :)
