I am Australian and live in Italy. I am a Harpist, Composer and arranger, with many years experience playing concerts, solo and in groups ; events, and theater work. My teaching experience is mainly with adult beginners and intermediate, and classical students , or players who want to explore jazz and improvvisation. My focus in teaching is to empower and inspire the student at what ever level they feel they are at. I like to help students arrive at their own goals , and persue their own chosen style , and repertoire whilst, suggesting new and perhaps alternatives in both approach and repertoire to expand musical horizons. For harpists the basis of technique is classical, believing in a strong technical base , whilst the approach of choosing and finding repertoire is non classical. I like to give the opportunity to alternate with music learned off the page with learning by ear. My specialty is improvisation, both structured and free and am available to teach improvisation, and music in English to not only harpists but to any musicians who already play and may like to explore improv. and help with english lyrics, terminology, and theory. I am also able to help musicians to arrange music for their instrument in the context of duos and trios for example strings with harp, or composers wishing to write for harp.

I love many styles of music to listen to , but to play I love modern jazz, some classical, medieval ethnic, celtic and above all original music, and improvisation. I like painting and everything creative. I love nature, the sea , lakes and forests . I'm a dreamer and a vagabond , any chance to travel especially in Italy. Im a free spirit. I enjoy helping Italians with English and I , by default ( being Mother tounge English) have been able to teach English in Italy over the years and do translations, and having lived in Itay now for 15 years I speak Italian , quite well. "I still remember the first time I heard the sound of a harp. I was 8 years old, my grandparents took me to a concert in the small church of Gosselies. When the harpist began to pluck the strings, I was kidnapped by the magical sound that emanated from the wooden heart. The longer the concert went on, the closer I got to the harp... After pestering my parents for a year, I began to study this magnificent instrument. It immediately became a sacred object for me. Thanks to it, I could communicate my feelings, laugh, relax and find the balance I was looking for."

My courses are based on the Irish teaching method so first of all to the ear, on the resources that the student has in himself and on the fact that one learns while having fun. I propose a harp lesson:
- Medieval dedicated to teenagers and adults for false beginner and intermediate based on medieval music and rebirth, improvisation, arrangement of melodies, ...
- Celtic for all ages from 14 to 70 years, beginner level, false beginner, intermediate and intermediate / advanced based on Celtic repertoire and Irish, Scottish and Breton techniques

After a few lessons, the neo-harpists will play short and simple melodies until the end of the journey to play more complete melodies that provide accompaniment and use of both hands. Lessons are defined on the learning needs of individual students. Even if I use the Irish teaching method, I will provide the basis for reading the pentagram, for the integration of rhythm, the foundations of harmony so that the student can read a piece of music independently.

I live in Italy, so I come back to Belgium about once a month for face-to-face lessons (duration of face-to-face lesson: 90 minutes).

I am a trained singing with a level of grade 8, I have also spent the last 6 years touring as a front women and also a backing singing with various artists around europe, including 1 top 10 artist. I understand that although it's great to have a strong technique it's also about letting go and having confidence in your ability so you can relax in the moment.

My name is Federico and I am a professional and Award Winning saxophone player.
I worked at Koninklijk Conservatorium of Bruxelles as an Assistant Professor of Jeroen Van Herzeele the jazz saxophone professor.
I graduated at Conservatorio G.Martucci of Salerno (Italy) and had both Bachelor and Master with full marks with honors. During the course of my studies i also spent two academic years abroad , one at the Kask and Conservatorium of Ghent with the supervision of Bart Defoort and one at the Koninklijk Conservatorium of Bruxelles with John Ruocco.
In 2017 i won the "Massimo Urbani International Jazz Competition" prize that saw as head of the jury Kurt Rosenwinkel & Fabrizio Bosso.
I play in several Jazz bands and I have been performing all around Europe.
I recorded a solo album called "Right Now" with the famous Italian label "Philology Records" & the album"Supernova" with my own band. I also recorded several albums with different bands and of many styles, from jazz, funk to pop.
I toured with the famous Italian Drummer Tullio De Piscopo (Pino Daniele, Mina, Astor Piazzolla's drummer) and also had the chance to make a variety of television appearances on Italian National Television (Rai1, Rai5, Rai3).

Singers like Billie Holiday, Ella Fitzgerald, and Frank Sinatra have left an indelible mark on American popular music through their jazz vocal stylings, fusing a conversational delivery with rhythmic and melodic improvisation. This course is tailored for each student to teach the unique characteristics of jazz singing and how to apply these characteristics to create your own sound. You will learn jazz phrasing, how to integrate good technique into jazz song styles, and how to sing with a number of time feels and grooves.

The course focuses on jazz vocal technique and delivery, including use of vocal inflections, dynamics, articulation, and interpretation, and how to improvise through rhythmic and melodic phrasing. The course then will go deeper into jazz improvisation expanding the musical vocabulary of scat studying syllabels, rhythm, and melodic ideas.

In this course we will apply these concepts to jazz tunes in various tempos and grooves, including ballads, medium swing, fast swing, and bossa nova. You'll move on to learn important considerations for effective stage presence and use of the microphone, too.

I teach online via Zoom, using software which allows you to see the exact keys I'm playing on my keyboard.

My teaching method is to focus on whatever type of music the student loves most, and to build from there. I believe that many people give up their dream of playing an instrument simply because they aren't inspired enough, so my goal is to instill a love for music, whatever that means personally for each individual student.

Everyone learns differently and has their own pace and rhythm. I have some students who like to have a regular weekly or biweekly lesson, and others who just get in touch once in a while when they have digested the previous lesson and feel ready to build on it. Whatever the case, I am very flexible and we can figure out what works best for you.

A bit about me:

Originally honing my skills on the British jazz scene and holding residencies in restaurants and bars around the country, I then went on to tour the world playing on cruise ships, hotels and festivals. I returned to London to complete my master's in jazz piano at the Guildhall School of Music, and during this time performed regularly at Ronnie Scotts, The Vortex and many other venues across the UK. I then spent two years in South America learning about salsa and Cuban music. I now mainly work as a transcriber, writing sheet music for all instruments including full Big Band scores. I have also worked extensively in musical theatre, most recently as musical director for 'Jersey Boys', and on the first US national tour of 'Summer: the Donna Summer Musical'. Passionate about her instrument since the age of 7, she is a high-level artist with a remarkable career. A graduate of the Milan Conservatory in 2017 and holder of two master's degrees from the Lausanne University of Music, she has won numerous prizes at international competitions.

A passionate teacher, she is also involved in chamber music and enriching the harp repertoire through arrangements and original compositions. She has pursued advanced studies with renowned professors such as Gabriella Dall'Olio, Park Stickney, Luisa Prandina, Maria Rosa Calvo-Manzano, Gloria Martinez, Olga Shevelevich, Letizia Belmondo, Eleanor Turner, Fabrice Pierre, and Renaud Capuçon in chamber music.

These studies, as well as the constant and passionate practice of his instrument, allowed him, from the age of 10, to participate in international competitions and win several prizes, such as second prize at the IX Concorso Internazionale di Esecuzione Musicale Città di Asti, first prize in the solo and chamber music category at the Saluzzo Music Pizzico Competition F. Gatti, first prize at the European Music Competition Città di Moncalieri as well as second prize at the Concorso Internazionale di Esecuzione Musicale-Città di Treviso 2020.

In 2022, she won first prize at the Lavaux Classique festival with tenor Leonardo Sanchez for the project Los Ritmos del Amor. This success allowed her to present this program at the 2023 festival, accompanied by a personal creation: an interactive musical tale for children, exploring the sounds of the harp and the world of Harry Potter.

Particularly involved in cultural mediation, she collaborates with the Partemus association and participated in a concert for families during the prestigious Easter Festival in Aix-en-Provence.
As an orchestral musician, Luna has played with renowned ensembles such as the Orchestre de la Suisse Romande, the Lausanne Chamber Orchestra, the Valéik Philharmonik, the Ensemble de Joux, the Sinfo Romandie Chamber Orchestra, and the Teatro Coccia of Novara.

Her passion for chamber music drives her to constantly explore new sounds, as evidenced by her varied projects: her collaboration with singer Floriane Derthe, broadcast on Espace 2 in 2021; her arrangement of Variations on a Theme from Chopin's La Cenerentola for harp and oboe, recorded with Edoardo Pezzini; as well as her contributions to the CD Los Colores de Latinoamérica with tenor Leonardo Sanchez in 2022, for which she wrote several arrangements.

Since October 2023, she has actively collaborated with the Opera for Peace association, dedicated to promoting young operatic talent worldwide. It is thanks to Opera for Peace that she has the opportunity to fully dedicate herself to enriching and creating arrangements for her instrument.
