About Me

Merce is a classical guitarist from Barcelona, Spain. He currently resides in the Netherlands.

He began his studies at the Sant Gervasi Music School in Barcelona, where he made his concert debut, having passed four years of primary school in just two years. Already active as a soloist and in chamber groups, she continued her training with the Bosnian soloist Alen Garagic.

In 2012 he began studying with the renowned Italian guitarist Professor Carlo Marchione in Maastricht (Holland). Under the tutelage of Goran Krivokapić, he completed his master's degree in classical guitar performance at the Luca School of Arts in Leuven, Belgium.

Merce has performed numerous solo and chamber music recitals throughout Europe. In 2020, Irish composer Andrew Shiels dedicated his three-movement suite entitled Quarantine to Merce, released on July 3, 2020.

My experience with guitar started with classical guitar when I was 6 years old and moving on to playing electric guitar at age 14.
Being immersed in playing primarily blues and jazz music.

I have taught students who not only do music as a hobby, but also students with serious career plans in music. I am open to various styles of playing guitar (jazz, blues, fingerstyle, funk, free improvisation and other popular genres) to all levels.
