JoãoMusic Composition and Music Production. Learn how to develop your ideas.
I have a master degree in music composition at the Royal Conservatoire Den Haag. I have been working in music composition for 10 year. This is a class where you are going to learn how to work with your own composition ideas as well get acquaintance to new composition tools and approach.
This is open for different types of music approach:
- contemporary classical music
- electronic music production/Ableton (any style you want)
- Music for Cinema (theory and how to do mockups with samples)
-Generative Music (Using max/msp and reaktor)
JulienPrivate lessons of musical composition - sound production - MAO
I teach the 3 components of computer music: music computing, composition, and sound processing.
The student uses his computer to create instrumental arrangements, and can also practice applied exercises to do at home, as with a classical instrument. The two are complementary therefore recommended!
The objective of the courses is the acquisition of two types of skills, in order to make the pupils autonomous. Musical skills: musical training, rhythm, harmony, analysis, and technical skills of computer music: software, recording, sound theory.

IvanMAO class with a hyper-creative professional named Costals
I published music under the names of Gelivan and Costals.
An album and EP in 2017 as Gelivan, then singles in 2019.
In 2020 I will release a project a month, minimum, with several videos.
My mission is to live music by December 31, 2020 with a prosperous income.
I want to be a major player in the world of music and help young people to progress, excel and live.
I have an approach that does not dwell too much on the technique, I work rather on the optimal conditioning to become a prolific creator while having fun. Our meetings, associated with your motivation and your daily constancy, will lead you to develop your creativity and will bring you an unequaled satisfaction.
It is important that you are strongly determined to make the most of my support. I suggest we see each other once a week, ideally the same day at the same time to make it easier.
To create my music, I mainly use Ableton Live, and I highly recommend this same program to my students.
I also create a lot of sketches on my iPhone with the Auxy app.
Suggestions of habits to develop to become a prolific creator and create a music of your own:
- devote at least 10 minutes every day to musical creation
- collect sounds that you find interesting - you can record what surrounds you with your smartphone, sample movie dialogues, bits of other music etc.
- create a reference playlist with your favorite songs (the most varied possible)
- listen actively for 15 minutes of different music, be attentive to the different elements and make notes on what touches us, several listening by focusing on different elements.

HakimElectronic Music Production and Mixing for beginners.
Music Production is now on it's peak and the industry is on the lookout for more and more upcoming talents.
In this class you will learn how to appreciate music more, from a technical point of view and learn how to compose and produce your own original material.
MarcoLive electronics: realizing its real-time environment with Max and Max for Live
Create your own programming environment for your performance.
Max (Cycling 74) is a reference for real-time music programming, dedicated to performance and multimedia installations.
The flexibility of the environment makes it possible to create a multitude of interfaces for the computer to communicate with any type of external sensor (gesture, movement, light, ...), in order to create interactive works.
The integration into the Ableton Live software, thanks to Max for Live, makes it possible to design effects and personal devices, to then integrate them in a set Live.
AdrianGuitar lessons for children and adults
I am a guitar teacher, 10 years of experience! I master several styles and will be able to guide you so that you find the pleasure to make the music, alone or in group.
PatrickAbleton Live - Getting your ideas down into a workable format to create a full working track! No prior knowledge needed!
I specialise in making music with the computer when there isn't a whole bunch of theory knowledge there. I can teach you to quickly and efficiently make that tune in your head into a reality, then turn that into a full track.
If you have tried a few tutorials or courses and they didn't fit with you because of all the engineering jargon and theory based approach, this course is for you! I learnt to make music because I was hearing all these songs in my head but wasn't good enough at any instrument to materialise them. Ableton allowed me to hash through ideas, jam with them, then finally turn them into a full working track. I have also worked as a live and studio sound engineer so I do have the theoretical knowledge but can communicate in the language of learners from all different levels.
I think there are a lot of people that just need to express what they have in there head and Ableton is by far the best program for that. It is very intuitive, "jammable" and so much fun!
For me Ableton is my instrument but I also play the drums, piano and bass.
ChrisComputer-assisted music and sound engineer courses.
Having had the chance to produce music in many countries around the world, I gained some experience that I now want to share with others.
My name is Chris.
And I welcome you to my training, which will allow you to compose your own music, and even mix it to give your compositions the best possible quality!
On the program: Sampling, recording of instruments and voices, creation of music of all styles, challenges, promo and many other surprises.
AdrienGraduate Professor of the Royal Conservatory of Mons (Arts2) Ableton Live: Sound Mixing, Midi, Sounddesign, Max for Live, Synthesis Techniques
I propose a course to listen to the participant and his needs.
2 options are possible:
- Learning all the basics of the MAO according to an established structure (Operation of a sound card & speakers, microphones, Understanding the digital & analog signal, operation of the sound card, MIDI, Sound synthesis, effects, compressors, EQ, Max For Live) on Ableton Live.
- Targeted learning on a subject according to the participant's request (Audio mixing, Sound synthesis, development of a live set, plug-in, Max For Live, Contemporary writing technique).
If courses are regular, opportunities for feedback on the productions & development of the artistic personality of each. Coaching and setting up a long-term artistic project, tips & tricks.
BarbaraLearn electroacoustic composition - sound creation and sound techniques
Who is this workshop for?
For all curious about sound, all music, music in general,
who wants to manufacture, build, examine ... (from 12 or 13 years).
Should one know the music theory?
Not necessarily. But familiarity with music of various styles can be a great help.
DJ? Electro music?
No ! We will not learn here to be a DJ or to compose "dance-music",
"electro" music in the commonly understood sense, or even songs.
Should I know the computer?
It's better if that's the case, but learning can be done at the same time as music research.
Is it necessary to have a computer?
A "workshop" rather than a class?
The course takes the form of a practical workshop, listening sessions, critical works.
Everything happens on computer once recorded sound elements of all kinds. Editing, transformation, mixing on software designed for this.
No software required. The proposed route can be adapted to any multitrack sequencing software. The computer is only a tool, it is the composer who makes the music.
Practically what do we do?
The composer works "with the sounds" that he has most often recorded himself.
He chooses them, assembles them, deforms them, mixes them according to his project, according to his
his intuition, his ideas and desires, gradually builds a music.
For those who want it and need it, exercises are proposed which allow to approach at the same time techniques of realization
and specific musical proposals.
Composition / Invention
It is not a question of declaring oneself all composers, but of asserting that one can all ask questions of composers, with, at the same time, seriousness and fantasy.
To confront the game of a free invention.
What musical orientation? What style ?
This is a "musical research" approach:
to seek to invent a music beyond the traditional values - heights of note, regular pulsations, instrumental timbres - without being forbidden to do all that.
A "music of sounds", in the widest possible sense, a "music of
all sounds "as opposed to what we might call obviously too simplified" a music of notes ".
This choice, which apparently seems to shake up the musical uses, is nevertheless part of a tradition of more than a century and rich of a repertoire too little known and which had various names:
- Electroacoustic Music
- Concrete music
- Acousmatic music
- Contemporary music
Finally, we each have a precious tool to never forget: our ear, and a fascinating and rewarding work to drive, questioning oneself.
