I am passionate about helping others. I love the challenge of motivating others to overcome their difficulties. As a native English English speaker I can offer you more than just grammar practice, I can help you develop better pronunciation and learn native phrases and words you wouldn't learn in a standard classroom setting. The teaching techniques I use are always tailored to the needs of each student depending on their current English level and objectives. My lessons involve conversation practice as well as reading and writing. I also try and vary the teaching material we use to ensure that you have the opportunity to cover a range of different topics.

About Me
Hello I'm a CELTA qualified English teacher from Derry, Ireland with a Bachelors degree in Accounting and Finance. I´m currently working in a Spanish consultancy firm here in Madrid, but I have 3 years experience working both in classrooms and in one-on-one private English lessons from beginners to advanced learners.
While working at International House, Madrid, I had a number of in company classes, with some of the largest banks and supermarkets in Spain. I had a number of students who wanted to improve their presentation skills and writing. In addition, I had other classes where the focus was on improving grammar and listening skills. My teaching methods always depend on the student and I normally carry out a needs analysis in our first class. I have always found teaching students a really satisfying job, watching students improve is really rewarding! As I´ve been learning Spanish and currently use it in my day to day job, I believe this is an advantage when teaching my students. It allows me to understand the specific needs of my students and pinpoint the difficulties they are facing. I have a lot of empathy and patience as I understand how frustrating learning a language can be at times!
