I am Maarja (artist name: Marie von Voxel) — a costume designer and 3D artist with over a decade of experience in theatre costume and a recent focus on digital couture. I am a visiting lecturer at the Estonian Academy of Arts and exhibit my work across Europe. I combine a strong practical production background with contemporary digital workflows to help students turn ideas into finished garments and visual stories.

Lessons introduce basic fashion sketching and simple sewing (hand and machine) using age-appropriate projects like accessories, simple vests or decorative patches. The emphasis is on creativity, safety, and visible progress: each class is designed so a child finishes with a small handmade piece and renewed enthusiasm for design. In addition, I also teach young students digital fashion in an art school setting, preparing them to become the next generation of designers. I keep explanations simple, encourage experimentation, and offer gentle technical instruction so young students feel proud and motivated.
