This writing module is based on a pedagogy that has a sharp focus on writing as practice and craft, but in a practical and experiential work environment. Rigorous training in the processes of writing and editing will accompany one-on-one guidance from the Senior Editors and mentors including myself, and involve rewriting and studying real submissions across fiction, humour, commentary, poetry and more. Our curriculum has been developed to provide an exhaustive dive into the nitty-gritties of wielding the written word. The objective is simple: to play on your strengths as a writer or editor and help you find your distinctive voice. This is a competitive and exclusive programme, and we only select 5 applicants for each six-week session. What’s special about WriteBeyond is its ability to give you on-ground experience of working at a living, breathing literary magazine. ALMA MAGAZINE is distinctive in its diversity of genres and writing styles. Having obtained a bac L with honors and having a mother who was a French teacher in college, I master French in its rules of construction. But not only ! Writing myself, I can also guide you for more effective or impactful formulations, or even help you develop your vocabulary or your mastery of figures of speech. I have seen an increasing trend in the fascination of both the Norwegian language and the culture in Norway. Through informal conversations, I will pass on everything I know about the Norwegian language - I think learning should be fun! This class is for aspiring Journalists and prospective Journalism students. We will go through core writing structures and techniques for newsgathering and writing for different categories of news and news outlets. I am an NCTJ qualified Journalist with BBC experience.

The French language is a real headache. I offer writing courses (dissertations, articles, text comments), but also language courses for adults and spelling courses for children/teenagers. Writing and the transmission of knowledge are two of my passions and I am delighted to share my knowledge with a smile and pedagogy. A photography class, visual narrative and portfolio development programme for those with an interest in a career in photojournalism and journalism. Through the sessions, you will learn to tell stories through photographs, develop a media portfolio through a combination of theory and practical photography assignments. The class is designed to give participants a space to learn about documentary photography and photojournalism and express who you are and what you care about through developing your own photography projects. Further learn photo editing, video and audio reporting via a combination of practical assignments and peer support. Furthermore, you will gain a portfolio of visual work which is a key for entering further education in the media and arts industry and/or for gaining work opportunities..

You will learn the rudiments of news gathering and news writing, importance of accuracy and fairness, broadcast production. I seek to be interactive in bringing to life the classroom theory with the practice of journalism generally and radio and online journalism in particular. In the delivery of the content, you may be provided with a basic understanding of radio broadcasting generally and why even in today's social media-driven environment professionally produced audio content is still relevant and appropriate. Wherever necessary, you will be exposed to real-life examples of content. This will be coupled with or based on a a wealth of experience operating in a Developing Nation/Third World environment in which journalists have to navigate political, economic and other challenges. There is a significant emphasis on ethical journalism and the integrity of the journalist in the practice of his or her craft. I am a great teacher because I aim to simplify complex journalism concepts by applying them to real-life situations. Students are generally satisfied with my approach especially with an emphasis on social interactionism. Students may also be guided about how to approach long-form productions such as features, magazine programmes and documentaries as well as essays that focus on areas of journalism.
