GeorgeGuitar Tutoring in Berlin for all ages and abilities.
I am an experienced and enthusiastic guitar tutor from Leeds, England, living in Berlin. I have a bachelor’s degree in jazz guitar from Leeds College of Music although I also play and teach rock, pop, funk, folk and indie music. In lessons I aim to get students playing something they know as soon as possible in order to get excited about progress early on. We balance this with paying attention to proper technique and having one eye on the theory behind what we are playing to broaden your understand of how music works. I am actively engaged in playing within the music scene and have a real excitement for all types of music, whether it’s learning your first chords on guitar or working on improvisation or music theory. We'll go at the right pace for you and achieve your goals together. I have experience teaching all ages and abilities of students, having taught in primary and secondary schools as well as private tuition for adults. From complete beginners to preparing a student for their college auditions. Lessons are tailored to suit the needs of the student, in order to have lessons which push you to learn to the best of your ability whilst still being fun and musical.
TobyMusic Theory lessons, all levels and ages (in English or Russian)
Hi there, my name is Toby and I’m a professional music theory, violin and viola teacher based in Berlin. I teach in person both at students' location and at my location as well as online. As well as regular instrumental teaching and ensemble coaching of all age groups and levels, I’ve led numerous professional workshops, including ‘Music First’ and ‘Music Masters’ workshops in London and was an assistant on the Primary Arpeggione viola course and Springgrove music competition. I teach in English, Russian, French and German and am trained in a variety of methods, including Suzuki, regularly preparing students for music exams at all levels. I am currently a member of the European String Teachers’ Association, and have participated in ESTA conferences across Europe. I also regularly accompany students on the piano, and work on music theory, aural and sight reading skills for exams, including on grades in theory and academic exams across all stages. As a performing musician, I've played as a soloist in venues across Europe and participated in several international competitions, notably receiving the Barbirolli prize at the Lionel Tertis International Viola Competition 2019. I was a member of the European Union Youth Orchestra in 2018, and a member of the National Youth Orchestra of Great Britain from 2014-2015, appearing on BBC Radio 3 broadcasts and a televised BBC Prom, as well as being involved in the NYO outreach programme ‘inspire’ in schools across London, including workshops and interactive performances at the Royal Festival Hall. Testimonials: Tatyana M. Toby is a fantastic teacher. He is very reliable as he is consistently organised and punctual. I constantly see progress in my child’s music skills because every lesson Toby delivers is effective and well-structured. I highly recommend him to all who wish to learn or improve on their music skills. Pamela B. Toby is really a great teacher, who teaches pieces well and teases out the feeling while playing. We particularly liked that. Good technique is one thing, but feeling the music is such an important element in music and in learning a piece of music. He also teaches theory very well! Hanna S. Toby can explain things very well and understandably, is patient and friendly and easily adapts to the level of the student More below
YunaPiano, Music theory lessons in English for all ages and levels.
I am a highly motivated and enthusiastic piano teacher from South Korea with an experience working with students from a diverse range of backgrounds and ages. After graduating from a university in Seoul in South Korea with a B.A. in classical piano, I taught piano to foreign students in English not only in Korean. Since September 2017, I have been working as a piano teacher at this beautiful music school in Berlin. I am teaching piano to 18 students using English and a decent amount of German. I create professional, tailored and individual lesson plans for a diverse range of various students. In lessons, I engage actively with students and focuse on improving posture, developing practice strategies (i.e. utilizing various rhythm patterns on difficult, technical passages), and setting regular practice times, while also building a positive and encouraging atmosphere. I am a strong interpersonal communicator and I am passionate about helping my students grow and realize their full potential. I teach with love, patience, and encouragement, and I have a strong flexibility to adapt to novel circumstances. I give piano lessons at a music school in Reinickendorf in Berlin and I also occasionally offer piano lessons in student's own home in Berlin.

GebyVocal coaching singing lessons online, via Skype or Whatsapp
Internationally experienced singer, formerly with a contract with the BMG Berlin and current contract with Warner Chappel (as a songwriter), as well as background for Celine Dion and Lionel Richey and work with the RIAS Berlin Orchestra and many publications and charter successes offers lessons. You can see part of my publications in the gallery. My Dutch / Indonesian / Portuguese / Armenian origin gives me a very natural approach to music and rhythms. I come from a large family of musicians and singing, dancing and acting were an integral part of my childhood as well as my training. Teaching is great fun for me and the students! The topic of "strength building" is always a big topic for singers. Let a professional show you how to get power into your voice without hurting it. Since I'm at home in R&B, soul, hip hop and jazz, I know how to use belten to get maximum message. My coaching focuses on expression and improvisation! I prepare for appearances and help you to train your voice in such a way that it has the necessary substance for appearances or studio work. Songwriting is also part of my coaching, if you so wish. Because music and casting shows are becoming increasingly important, I help newcomers to prepare for blind auditions! I am also happy to be there for amateur singers who simply enjoy singing. We can work out your favorite song and record if necessary! Vouchers are also available as a birthday present, for Christmas, or simply to fulfill someone's heart's desire. Since I am also a trained voice actress, I can also help in this area! It is also possible to hold a vocal session or group mission via Skype. Please contact me in this regard using my contact details. The advantage of this is that these can of course take place across Germany! This includes videos that will be sent to you so that you can understand the exercises again and repeat them together with me in the video. This is very practical for your daily singing routine. The coaching can also take place in English or Dutch. I'm really looking forward to you!
