This class is designed for people of all level and age seeking to learn, or master the English language both written and spoken. My name is James, i was born in France in Paris, and am currently attending my fourth year of engeneering degree in University of Paris Saclay, ranked 14th in the world by the famous Shangai Ranking. I have 3 years of experience giving lessons to middle and highschool students in various fields, such as French, Maths, and Computer science. Teaching is a passion for me, and i'm very capable of both understanding the student's needs, and attending to them. To do so, i promote active listening and constructive dialogue in order to build a relation of trust and proficiency with the student. This class is designed as a question and answer tutoring session with one-on-one help from a highly qualified and experienced university level chemistry lecturer. Topics that can be discussed include (but are not limited to): - Functional Groups and Resonance Structures - Stereochemistry (chirality and enantiomers) - Substitution and Elimination Reactions (Sn1, Sn2, E1, E2) - Arrow-pushing Mechanisms - Acid-Base Chemistry - Synthetic Methods (e.g. Gringard reactions, metal catalysed transformations, etc.) - Spectroscopic Methods (IR, Raman, NMR analysis) This class is not intended to replace your ongoing lectures and coursework in general chemistry, but should be used in addition to help strengthen your understanding of core concepts and prepare for midterm and final examinations. NB: Remedial lectures can be provided on a case by case basis if requested. I am able to teach to small groups (up to 6 students) at once, but the price per group may vary.

By learning important grammar rules and improving your English vocabulary, you will become more fluent in English. My aim is to keep students motivated and challenged, but not too overwhelmed. I will give feedback on your learning progress.

I have many years of experience in giving private English lessons. I hold a Bachelor's in Turkish Language and Literature from Bogazici University in Istanbul, Turkey. Some important information: I taught English and Turkish Languages and Literatures at different schools in Istanbul. I have a fine arts certificate for sculpture and ceramics from Bogazici University. I hold Masters in Applied Cultural Analysis, therefore, I am skilled for doing ethnography and qualitative research.
