Hi there!

My name is Matteo and I'm a Master student in Composition at the Royal Conservatoire of Antwerp.

I'd be very happy to help you if you want to deepen music writing, and/or with any theory doubts you might have! Just ti say a little about myself, before arriving in Belgium I did my Composition Bachelor in Switzerland, at the Bern Academy of the Arts, with Simon Steen-Andersen, and I also studied Violin in Milan, my home town.

I also had masterclasses with the following composers: Georg Friedrich Haas, Paul Clift, Stefano Gervasoni, Matthew Shlomowitz, Trond Reinholdtsen, Eva Reiter, Giorgio Colombo Taccani, Dmitri Kourliandski, Pierre Jodlowski, Stefan Prins.

Hi there! My name is Matteo and I'm a Master student in Composition at the Royal Conservatoire Antwerp. I previously studied in Switzerland and in my home town, where I attended the so called "Classical Lyceum" and, by passion next to my music studies, the Modern Humanities Faculty at the University of Milan.

My name is Matteo and I was born and raised in Milan. I'd be happy to help you learn Italian and/or become fluent in it having friendly conversations about any topic you'd like and others suggested by me. In case you're you are preparing for a trip, we could also imagine some real-life situations while getting around in the city!

Together, we'll work on your speaking, writing and reading skills, I'll also help you with grammar and syntax rules, and I'd love to share my love for literature discussing about books you'd like to read in original language!

A professional musician for many years, I am both a teacher and active on the Belgian and international scene in various projects. I followed professional training at the CIM in Paris.

As a vocal coach, I understand that it is important to develop a good vocal technique but also to develop self-confidence and mastery of oneself in order to be able to deliver the best of oneself in any situation.

I deal with students of all levels and ages. I explore with them different musical fields according to their desires and affinities. My classes are a mix of technique, improvisation and practice. I really like the practice to include an element of interactivity with my students and so that they are able to come out of my lessons with mastered pieces, in their own way. Indeed, I also like to take the time to research with my students their own inner voices and talents so that they really find themselves artistically speaking; a kind of musical inner journey.

Lessons in piano, harpsichord, and historical and modern cello, with program and repertoire, adapted to the goals and speed of each student, whether young, not so young, or adult, for a general introduction to these instruments, for preparation for high music education, as a supplementary aid for exams in music academies, or for a hobby, or for amateur group music-making, or for developing qualities as concentration, coordination, discipline, expressibility, awareness of styles and music history.
In my teaching, I rely mostly on old traditional methods, books, and repertoire, which have proved their efficiency over the time. I also make use of the teaching tradition of partimenti of the old Neapolitan conservatories - exercises for composing that can be applied from early stage. This not only adds a creative element soon after very beginning, but also teaches via practice the basics of harmony and polyphony.
Lessons can be combined (+30min.) with theory/solfege (ear training), if the student wishes.

I have been teaching for more than 15 years, privately, in Brussels, and in New York in the past, more than 100 students.
I am a graduate of Koninklijk Conservatorium Brussel, in baroque cello and harpsichord, but I play also modern cello organ, and piano.

Concernant le contenu du cours je le module en fonction de vos attentes et objectifs.

Je lie systématiquement le travail concret de l'instrument ( Classique, Variété ou Jazz ) avec un apprentissage minimal des éléments de base de la pratique musicale en général : théorie de la musique, formation de l'oreille intérieure, développement de la sensibilité harmonique, mélodique et rythmique, solfège etc... Je peux volontiers aborder tout cela plus profondément à la demande de l'élève, c'est passionnant aussi vous verrez !

La première rencontre sera l'occasion de discuter de tout cela, afin de mettre en place un cadre adopté à votre profil (Jeune enfant débutant, adolescent confirmé, adulte en reprise ou autres...)

Je considère que l'essentiel est de trouver un bon équilibre entre les exigences de rigueur inévitables pour progresser dans l'apprentissage du piano et le plaisir immédiat de jouer de la musique, qu'on est en droit d'attendre d'un si bel instrument !

My name is Federico and I am a professional and Award Winning saxophone player.
I worked at Koninklijk Conservatorium of Bruxelles as an Assistant Professor of Jeroen Van Herzeele the jazz saxophone professor.
I graduated at Conservatorio G.Martucci of Salerno (Italy) and had both Bachelor and Master with full marks with honors. During the course of my studies i also spent two academic years abroad , one at the Kask and Conservatorium of Ghent with the supervision of Bart Defoort and one at the Koninklijk Conservatorium of Bruxelles with John Ruocco.
In 2017 i won the "Massimo Urbani International Jazz Competition" prize that saw as head of the jury Kurt Rosenwinkel & Fabrizio Bosso.
I play in several Jazz bands and I have been performing all around Europe.
I recorded a solo album called "Right Now" with the famous Italian label "Philology Records" & the album"Supernova" with my own band. I also recorded several albums with different bands and of many styles, from jazz, funk to pop.
I toured with the famous Italian Drummer Tullio De Piscopo (Pino Daniele, Mina, Astor Piazzolla's drummer) and also had the chance to make a variety of television appearances on Italian National Television (Rai1, Rai5, Rai3).

I study the horn at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels, and I offer music theory/musical training lessons for all ages from 7 years old, for levels ranging from beginner to first year of conservatory.

Graduated in cello in Barcelona, finishing my master in historical cello at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels. Passionate cellist with a lot of experience in performance and education. I specialize in historically informed music, so I try to understand the context around each music I play, so we enter into a dialogue between current events and the era in which the music was created. In my classes we will learn the basic technique of the cello but also we will look together for what we want to express with the music we make, and techniques more adapted to the era.

I am a professional drummer, composer, and performer based in Brussels, with an active career in jazz, improvised, and creative music across Europe.

Whether your background is rock, pop, world, indie, or anything else, we focus on what serves your music, and on what learning this instrument can become. My goal is not to tell you strictly how things should be done, but to help you find your own way of doing them. To strengthen the musician that already exists inside you, and give you the tools to grow with confidence and independence.

I offer private drum lessons focused on long term development rather than isolated sessions. My work with students is based on regular weekly lessons, helping each drummer build solid technique, musical awareness, sound, and a personal voice in the instrument.

These lessons are for:

About the lesson

I am a second-year jazz piano student at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels and I offer piano lessons for beginners and intermediate students.

My lessons are adapted to each student’s goals and musical interests. Whether you want to learn the basics of piano, improve your technique, or explore jazz and pop styles, I will guide you step by step in a relaxed and motivating environment.
