Learning Biblical Hebrew is not only fascinating and a little mysterious, but also allows to address the Judeo-Christian founding texts (and for Abraham even Muslim) in the original language. Hebrew does not "think" like Indo-European languages. To learn even the basics of this language allows to open one's mind and one's heart, to see and perceive things differently, to think in a new way and to lose one's own habits. As Hebrew uses his language to feed his reader by inviting him to search for meaning beyond first reading, this course offers an introduction to enter a new world of interpretation, rediscovery of texts and to an unsuspected depth.

As a native Hebrew speaker, I can help you by speaking with you and pointing out the best way to communicate in this language. Sometimes what we learn in official classes doesn't match reality, and I believe that learning from native speakers is the best way to assimilate ourselves in a new language. Thus, my classes would include day-to-day common phrases and would focus on the correct yet simple way to express yourselves in Hebrew. If you're starting from scratch then we will go over the Alef-Beit, get familiar with the sound of the words and slowly build up a conversational vocabulary and reading and writing abilities, all depends on your interests. Awesome! let's go deeper and learn the grammar so that we can read and understand modern Hebrew news, or practice our conversation skills by talking about what we find interesting.

I believe Hebrew is more than just a language. We start by building a solid foundation for the language, starting with the alphabet. My learning system, "Hebrew to Hebrew", familiarizes you with the basics of Hebrew. During each lesson, you will be seated comfortably and you will progress from home in the language. At the end of the course, you can write simple words and read short dialogues. Thus, you will have learned 400 new words, basic syntax as well as verbs. We work on listening through exercises and discussions in the form of short dialogues.
