About Me

Bi-lingual Italian and French. I have a double Master's Degree in Architecture in France and in Italy. I can also speak English fluently.
I've been art history teacher for the last 4 years in the Italian Public School. I recently moved to Den Haag and I started teaching Italian and French for foreigners. I'm very passionate about teaching and I know how to make my lessons a pleasurable and fun experience. Teachers at school learn how to find everyday new solutions to draw students attentions and to let them improve their knowledge. That's the challenging part of our job.

Education

I have a Double Master's Degree in Architecture in France and in Italy (Polytechnic of Turin, ENSA University of Marseilles). I graduated from Classical Lycee in Italy.

Do you love Italian people, history, and food and you would like to speak the language?
I am a CEDILS-certified Italian teacher born and raised in Florence, and I've also been a language student myself for a long time! If you want to be able to interact with Italians quickly, I can give you some tips about correct pronunciation, fundamental grammar, and vocabulary, but also Italian art and popular culture, which I think is fundamental to understanding the mentality and the country that you are going to interact with.
Lessons will be tailored according to the student's needs, level, and mother language and focused on the conversation.

I am Lorenzo, an Italian guy studying International Studies in The Hague.
I graduated last year in an Italian high school in Castelfranco Veneto, my hometown.
The school I went to was a “Liceo Scientifico”, characterized for giving an accurate and complete preparation in scientific subjects such as Maths and Physics as well as more humanistic disciplines, for example Latin, Italian literature, Art and Philosophy.
Two years ago I lived for a year in Chile through an exchange program that gave me the chance to study for a year in South America. By staying there I had the opportunity to learn to speak fluently Spanish and to develop a deep interest for South American (especially Chilean) folklore, culture and art.

This class is to ve fluent in the everyday use of Italian. This class will be helpful for both who are personally driven to the culture and language and who need to use it on a daily basis in their working/studying environment. The class can be adapted to the student's needs.
Even though not fluent, I have spent half of my life in Italy, or academically involved with Italian culture and language. Therefore this class can be beneficial for those who would like to advance their knowledge.
There will be a particular emphasis on the cultural aspect of the language that will be given in the teaching approach, both to familiarize the learner to the particular culture and to get deeper knowledge on the grammar and pronunciation.

I do believe that tailored classes are way more efficient. Italian and Indonesian are not widely spoken languages, however, both the Italian and Indonesian community are spread across the world and I have noticed that many are the mixed Italian and Indonesian families living in the Hague!

My classes are not special, they are simply meant for children and adults who wish to have someone who they can talk to and improve either Italian or Indonesian. My classes will “offer” you a friend who can stimulate you to speak the language and learn the everyday language without being particularly ambitious. Sometimes what it counts is to understand the everyday language culture and not being afraid to speak. That’s what you to grasp for my classes.
