English has become the Lingua Franca of our times. It's a valuable skill to possess, beneficial for everyone. It comes handy in the ever-developing world that we live in and opens doors to many places, also in the mind. Additionally, bilingualism enhances the cognitive skills.

In 2023, I've obtained a Master degree in Linguistics at the University of Amsterdam. I've achieved the C1+ levels in English, on the CEFR scale. I have 2 years of experience living in London, where I acquired RP (received pronunciation) and 7 years of experience in the International Academia (Amsterdam). My linguistic background gives me the capacity to explain the sounds and various processes of the language, from a perspective many natives do not know. In teaching, I practice the holistic approach. It is my belief that language is for people of every age and education, but I'm aware that everyone deserves a personal approach. I was born in Italy, but for the last two years of my life I have traveled the world, mainly in Central and South America and the Middle East, traveling and working remotely.
I am a professional teacher with 6 years of experience. I worked on the translation of medical and legal articles, panels in the glass museum in Venice and worked as an interpreter at the court of Venice.
I have a degree in languages, I am certified in international law and I am a language coach. Language coach means that I not only teach you a language, but also how to learn new languages!

Are you moving to Portugal and want your kid to learn a bit before moving there?
Are you Portuguese native speakers who are living abroad and want to understand how your child is developing?

These are only some of the few encounters I’ve had in the past with kids who learned Portuguese language in a fun and engaging way. If your kid talks PT/EN/FR/NL/SP I can speak with them.

My strongest suit as a teacher is patience and I can connect to children quite easily (maybe because my mum is a kindergarten teacher). I know how hard it is to hold a kid’s attention for long stretches of time. Thus I try to turn the classroom into a playground and make it as interactive as possible. The focus will be to learn vocabulary as opposed to writing complex sentences, depending on your child’s proficiency of the language.

My method is super flexible and I adjust it to every student. I usually share my screen and make use of audiovisual material such as books, songs, videos and games. The latter seems to have the most success so far as we cheerfully shout Portuguese vocabulary such as animals, numbers, letters, colors etc.
