Hi! I am a Master's student at the University of Groningen in the Netherlands. I offer private tutoring for high school and/or university-level students so they can understand the fundamental concept and excel in their studies. I have teaching experience of 3+ years in Physics and Mathematics to both high school and university-level students. I have expertise in the following courses: 0. all high school topics 1. Classical Physics (Newtonian mechanics, linear motion, rotational motion, collision theory, angular momentum, and many more) 2. Modern Physics (Electrostatics, Maxwell's law, motion of electron in electric and magnetic field, Quantum theory of light, Compton scattering, photoelectric effect, and many more) 3. Optics (Ray optics, wave mechanics, reflection and refraction, Fresnel's law, polarizer, matrix optics, interference, diffraction, and many more) 4. Quantum Mechanics (Schrödinger equation, Heisenberg uncertainty principle, commutation relation, the addition of angular momentum, matrix representation, density matrix, and many more) 5. Solid-state Physics (Crystal structure, wave diffraction, and the reciprocal lattice, crystal vibrations (phonons), the density of states, semiconductor physics, pn junction, transistors, and many more) *Note that the sessions will be held online (via Skype/Zoom/Microsoft Teams).

I am a PhD student with a background in chemistry. For my research I focus on organic electronics. I can tutor students at bachelor level for all three areas of chemistry. I live in Groningen and can teach online or in person, according to the preferences of the student. I enjoy teaching and I like to try and help you to figure things out for yourself and make connections between all the things that are being learnt rather than viewing it as individual bits of knowledge that need to be memorized. Biology is a truly fascinating subject, so let's make sense of it all together! I'm an enthusiastic third year medicine student at the University of Groningen. Besides my studies I also participate in the Honour's college (an extra challenging programme followed besides the standard medicine programme) and I am involved in research going on in the hospital. As for my high school background, I have obtained an International Baccalaureate diploma with 44 out of 45 points. Previously I have already tutored IB Biology HL and now I feel ready to get back to tutoring! Hi, I'm Lise and I've been in education for several years. I like to help people learn and study. I myself have a bachelor's degree in biology, but I also really enjoy the subjects of mathematics and English! Now that the final exams are just around the corner, I think it would be useful to brush up on your skills!

Studying for exams and working through homework assignments can be very hard to do on your own, especially if you don't know where you might be going wrong. Solution manuals may help in showing topics you didn't understand but without someone to explain how to get to the right answer, how are you supposed to improve? That's what I'm here for. When we meet, you can show me your assignments, exam review materials or graded assignments/exams and we can talk through how to get to the right answer and any tricks you can use to remember these methods. I will not be lecturing on topics so you get out what you put in! If you don't bring material, we won't have anything to go over. My goal is to leave you with a better understanding of how to work through chemistry/biochemistry/organic chemistry questions in a way that will work for you. Together we will find the methods that will most benefit you. I have worked in both group settings and in one on one sessions online and have experience breaking down problems for people experiencing dyscalculia (numerical dyslexia).

As a biologist myself, I take a hands-on approach, learning through doing is the best method to fully understand. The flow of the course will of course be flexible to meet your requirements and interests. I specialize in teaching Chemistry and Biology tutoring for success at school. My goal is to challenge but not to overwhelm the student. After each lesson I give tips on how you can get better grades at school. And I'm trying to help you in chemistry so that you will pass your exam.

I am currently studying medicine at the RUG in Groningen and also provide extra lessons. I have passed exams in mathematics, English, physics, chemistry, Dutch, biology and economics. Organic Chemistry is a difficult subject, but only if you make it so. In reality, if learned well it is actually a beautiful subject and relatively easy. I will help you from the very basics, you can learn these concepts or revise them if you already know them, and then grow from those basics to intermediate concepts and higher levels. The harsh truth is that organic chemistry relies on the memorization of reactions, structures, reagents, and rules which can make it quite daunting to study. But, with effective teaching methods and practice questions you will be able to conquer this subject. We will structure the classes according to your level and understanding, we can go slower or faster based on your schedule and I will assign homework for practice, but we will also solve questions together during the lesson. Hopefully, I will be able to help you appreciate this beautiful subject, if not then at least help you clear your exams :)
