I am a young pianist myself, just finished my Bachelor degree in classical piano and since I already have some experience of teaching, I would love to share the love that I have for music with other people. If there is no experience in music, whatsoever, a little bit of music theory will be involved and even if there is, I can also give lessons of only music theory if asked. Tailor-made cello lessons for all ages and levels! Currently via webcam I studied at the conservatories of Antwerp and Ghent and obtained my master's degree as a performing musician and my diploma in specific teacher training. In addition to experience as a performing musician, I am also active as a teacher of solfège and cello. I have experience as a teacher with children and adults. In the singing lessons we will work with your own voice! We investigate where your points of improvement lie and what you are already good at. Are you a beginner? Then we focus on a basic formation of singing technique in combination with singing songs that you like to sing. Are you an experienced singer before? Then we go a little deeper into vocal technique by looking at where the difficulties lie for your voice with challenging songs. We get started with the songs you like to sing. My teaching methodology focuses on creating a friendly and relaxed environment (which does not mean undemanding!) in which students feel confident to express their own ideas and worries. In my lessons I focus on technical and postural questions, but we also reflect together on the music, as I like my students to develop their own musical ideas and not just imitate the teacher.

I have studied Composition, Harmony and Counterpoint since the very start of my Music education when I was 9. I have always discovered new ideas through improvising. It is best to know the rules to traditional harmony, and then break them if you want!

In my 20+ years playing the cello I have been lucky to build an international career as a solo and orchestral musician in places like Bremen (Germany), Sweden (Göteborg), and Belgium (Gent). I have 4+ years worth of experience teaching online/in person, as well as a C1 Cambridge certificate of English. I also have a B1 level of Nederlands. My philosophy of teaching is to teach my students in a comprehensive way how to use their body 100% efficiently.
