From beginners to advanced I provide a guiding hand through worlds' third most spoken language: English.
Depending on your needs we will focus on grammar, pronunciation, writing or speaking. As living in a foreign country myself I have come to realize in learning a new language, the best way to proceed is through dialoge. Expect an informal though serious interaction during lessons, as I will be rather a tutor than a teacher.

I graduated from the university of Geneva with a Masters in international law and aBachelor in International Relations. I would be very pleased to tutor you and help you improve your English, French or Dutch skills. I hold an international baccalaureate from the international school of Geneva and am therefore perfectly bilingual in both English and French. I am a native Dutch speaker. In addition, I have over 5 years of experience tutoring both children as adults and have worked as an assistant in the bilingual school Institut Florimont in their guided studies program helping 11 year old students with their homework.

I obtained a master's degree in international law at the University of Geneva and a Bachelor's degree in international relations. I use a holistic approach to languages, with listening, talking, reading and writing joined together with games and visual tools. Students are challenged and improvement is noticeable within two to four weeks depending on the lesson frequency!

I am a Belgian (Flemish) and French student with a Masters in International Public Law (Amsterdam) and a Masters in Global development (University of Copenhagen). World traveler, I have lived in Thailand, Denmark, Greece, the Netherlands, US, Switzerland and many more countries, where I both dtudies and worked as a legal advisor.

2023:
Tutor of Dutch at Varady Language school in Geneva

2021-2022:
I worked at "bijlesthuis," a Dutch tutoring institution, where I primarily taught French, Dutch, and English to adult learners seeking to improve their language skills. During the same period, I also provided classes to other students through Apprentus.

2021:
Through Apprentus and other websites, I assisted several younger students (ages 5-15) in Bern and Geneva, helping them improve their skills in subjects such as Maths and French.

2017-2020:
I worked for three years at a tutoring institution in Geneva called ARA, where I primarily taught French, Mathematics, and English.

During this time, I also spent two years working at a private school called Florimont, where I supported students aged 11-16 across various subjects by assisting them with their homework.

I can teach French, Dutch, and English, Spanish and in German, and I thoroughly enjoy teaching and assisting students in their progress and acquisition of new skills.

As a person, I am flexible, calm, and positive.

Since obtaining my CELTA (Certificate in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) diploma in summer 2020, I have been teaching English to learners of all ages, from beginner to advanced level (A1-C1). Lessons are tailored to the student's needs, whether it's improving conversational English, preparing for an exam, working on Business English and more.

In addition to my work as a teacher, I am a student of English language and literature at the University of Geneva. English is truly my passion, which is why I strive to transmit the love of this language to all my students.

A lesson typically lasts 60 minutes and can take place at the student's home, my home, or another convenient location (a cafe or at university, for example).

I've been preparing students for the A-Levels and GCSE (language + literature). I can prepare you for specific examinations, language lessons in general or teach you Spanish for business. The lessons are for everyone, whatever their age or level (children to adults). I will make sure that you discover the Spanish culture through the lessons, learn the correct pronunciation and of course learn some grammar. I am open to your needs and can speak a few languages to make sure that you understand fully the lessons (of course, we’ll try to use mostly Spanish in all our lessons depending on your level).
