English: As a teacher, I always work from the needs and level of the student. I believe learning music should be fun as well as practical, so I combine technique with direct application in songs and playing with other instruments. My method focuses on gradually building control and confidence behind the drum kit. A typical lesson begins with a short warm-up and technical exercises (sticks, coordination, timing). After that, we work on grooves or fills, often using a play-along track or music chosen by the student. In band lessons, the emphasis is on playing with other instruments, rehearsal structure, and stage presence: how to play tightly together, present yourself on stage, and how to deal with issues that might occur during your performance. My specific skills lie in modern genres such as (indie) rock, metal, pop, and groove-based styles. As a mentor and an active performer in several bands, I can share not only technical knowledge but also stage experience, rehearsal tips, and help with gear recommendation and learning about auxiliary aspects (recording drums, stage tech, etc). The lessons are intended for students and young musicians of all levels—from absolute beginners learning their first beat to advanced players refining their technique or bands who want to take their rehearsal and live performance to the next level. Group lessons and beginner band coaching are also available, where we work together on ensemble playing, communication, and performing. Hello, my name is Zeynep! I am a mathematician with a doctoral degree. After completing my postdoc, I am currently focused on acquiring new skills while continuing to teach. Teaching has always been my passion throughout my academic career. I have 16 years of experience, starting with private tutoring for school children during my undergraduate studies and eventually teaching at the university level to a diverse range of students. Indian cooking is a vast collection of culinary traditions passed on from generations. In this class I aim to share these traditions and values to create a wide array of lip smacking Indian dishes from various regions of India. You can choose to do an online session, an in person workshop at your place or mine. I would however highly recommend visiting an Indian household. This wouldn't be a typical workshop or a class. Come to our place and enjoy an evening, cooking delicious Indian food, sharing stories and culture. I believe that everyone can draw. All it takes is to sit down, start, and keep practicing. I have taught myself to draw faces/portraits and that is why I am very enthusiastic about conveying my creative process to others, so that they can also get started with what they want to create. I have developed my art and creative process throughout my life. After training at three different art academies, including Willem de Kooning in Rotterdam, I have now been working full-time as an artist for 10 years. I create my works with acrylic paint, but I also still draw and sketch a lot on paper. My art style is a mix of spontaneous realism and abstract use of color, pop art, and comic style. Personal Portfolio Class: If you are considering applying for art school or design school, you might want to prepare yourself and build a convincing portfolio, perhaps improve your presentation skill or even some confidence boost for interviews. We will first explore what talents you already have and those you will want/need to have, the goal is to help you develop your creativity and curiosity as well as your artistic skills and most importantly find out your inner talent for a direction that will suit you, whether in education or self-development. And we will do a live rehearsal for your interview for the best presentation result and confidence boost. Overall, It'll help you cultivate the soft and hard skills you need to be more confident setting and resetting expectations, strengthening relationships, and taking your projects across the finish line without any cold sweat. For teenagers: are highly encouraged to experiment with different materials and techniques and preferably through themes - selected by me or the student's likings as well. We will also look at specific Artists and Painters, as well as specific Art History periods, and the kids will then be encouraged to play around and recreate their own version of the Artist or period. Needless to say that class do not necessarily mean free-time activity, the academic material is intentionally or not(unconsciously) always a present element of my instructive performance. Therefore, the game becomes a teaching/learning relation, whilst teaching and learning turn into a recreational joyful moment for all participants.

What benefits you get from my Teaching classes: 1) I am not very strict when it comes to extra time. We can extend a bit. +10 mins is no problem. I always think that long sessions with small pauses are better so that you get a grip of the topic. 2) I can teach in group as well as alone , what suits you best. In case you are out for a break and don't want to lag behind in comparison to what is going on in school we, can have some back to back classes in short time, if that suits you.
