Speaking, reading, and writing English for beginners and intermediate level

This class is designed for students and professionals in Tilburg who want to develop their English skills and take TOEFL or IELTS tests. My own IELTS result is 8, level C1. I will adjust the learning content and delivery methods based on your needs.

The aim of this course is to increase fluency, confidence, use of language and pronunciation in order to improve your language skills. I offer explanations of Grammatical topics, expansion of vocabulary and tips for pronunciation in order to improve the ability to be understood! The best way to know a language is through exposition, therefore only English will be spoken in class.

As an experienced teacher of Academic Writing and Business English, and a graduate of Cambridge English, I have a good grasp of what's important when writing and presenting in English. I can provide frameworks and tips up front, and give feedback on written work and recorded presentations as well. Being Dutch myself and having studied and worked in international classrooms for almost 15 years, I am sensitive to the specifics of the international classrooms in Dutch higher education. Additionally, I can train you in the art of online presenting, and running online meetings, which is gaining in importance in the post-COVID academic and business environments.

I give private lessons from the four well-known books of the pre-education of the Islamic University in Medina (KSA). Those who have dealt with these books are able to: 1) Read Arabic. 2) Write Arabic 3) understand/understand Arabic. 4) speak Arabic. 5) Understand the Friday sermons and other Islamic sermons in the Arabic language. 6) Do an Islamic education at an Islamic university or one can follow a complete Islam study in Arabic at another institution. Information about the lessons: - Classes are given online via Zoom. - The student is able to see what I write in the notebook and I send this document to the student after each lesson so that he can start learning the notes and the glossaries. - Everything of the lesson is translated and explained until the student understands it and only then do we continue In Shaa Allah. The Italian language is complex but interesting to learn. So is Portuguese (Brazilian and European). I am available for teaching to any prospective student, at any level, considering I am a native speaker of both idioms, as well as of the English language. My classes are offered in English and I have quite a flexible schedule. If you are interested to learn new, Latin-derived languages, feel free to contact me! Due to the Covid-19 pandemics, I will primarily deliver lessons online. However, if you have a preference for physical contact, then we can find a compromise (with no variation on the lesson cost shown below).
