About Me

Passionate about jazz with eclectic influences, Tommy Scott forges his musical identity between classical tradition and modernity. Born in the Welsh mountains and trained in the prestigious Cotswold Hills, he has developed a unique piano style that elegantly blends jazz, classical, rock, blues and Latin rhythms.

Recognized as a prodigy from a young age, his exceptional career began at the age of 13 when legendary American pianist Joey Calderazzo invited him to join his band. This decisive encounter opened the doors to privileged training with British virtuoso Jason Rebello (Sting, Jeff Beck), and allowed him to perform at the Cheltenham International Jazz Festival at the age of 16.

Now based in Paris, Tommy performs alongside renowned artists from the European and New York scene. His delicate touch and musical sensitivity make him a particularly sought-after accompanist for singers. In addition to Paris, he has performed in London, Birmingham, Bristol, Athens and Rome.

Education

His journey led him to meet the greatest names in jazz: Herbie Hancock, Wayne Shorter, Ray Brown, Cedar Walton, Roy Haynes and Elvin Jones.

His thirst for knowledge earned him an invitation to study at the New England Conservatory in Boston.

Jan Wijn and graduated with the highest score among piano students (Bachelor of Music, piano). He played several solo and chamber music concerts in concert hall, church, museum, library, hospital and elderly houses.
