Creative Writing Class to work on style and developing a unique voice

I am a fully qualified primary school teacher based in Falkirk with over 15 years of experience particularly in the upper primary level. If your child needs additional input in English or Maths to help them reinforce their classroom learning or if they are looking to extend themselves to work at Third Level in preparation for High School or Entrance Exams, then I am here to help. After our initial ‘get to know you’ session, I will build a program of learning that will support your child in all identified areas, helping them to feel more confident with concepts or skills they have found tricky to master as well as challenge them to reach their full potential moving towards higher level learning. My goal is to create supportive and engaging session where students feel motivated to explore, make mistakes in a safe environment and ultimately, experience success, helping to boost their confidence in any classroom or examination setting. Mathematics is often seen as a problem area for many students and their ‘tricky’ subject. With every student that identifies this as an area for development, my focus is on building a strong foundation in maths reinforcing key concepts, using key problem-solving strategies as well as developing critical thinking skills. Through the use of real-world, tangible examples, I will help students develop a deeper understanding of mathematical concepts and how they can be applied in their own lives. This work will be followed up with targeted areas for further practice, consolidation and/or additional challenge. During my writing sessions, I will guide students in developing their practical writing skills, i.e. grammar, sentence structure, punctuation, and organisation of points/plot. Whilst encouraging creativity throughout, I will ensure there are multiple opportunities for students to express themselves through various writing genres. We will also work on editing and reviewing with feedback sessions built in to help consolidate the techniques introduced. I strongly believe that reading is the key to unlocking a whole world of knowledge and imagination. In my reading sessions, I will focus on developing essential skills such as phonics, fluency, comprehension, and vocab. Through a variety of activities, including reading aloud, guided reading, discussion and analysis, I will help students improve their reading abilities, expand their literary horizons, and hopefully, foster a lifelong love for books. I aim to bring an interactive, creative, and imaginative environment for children and adult students to ensure that their interest in the language grows. My one to one classes are tailored for each individual student with regard to their personality. This helps them to be more interested in the teaching material and the class in general. . After my classes, my students have gained much confidence in expressing themselves in English, whether it comes to their writing or oral abilities. Storytelling is a powerful tool for self-discovery, passing down wisdom... and it's also fun. We all appreciate stories for different reasons that vary in philosophical and emotional depths. In this class I'd do my best to explain what a story is, what characters, themes and messages are. I will also teach you the relationships between them and how to make your own unique characters, worlds and stories. This class is for beginner writers and narrative designers.

The course is centered on Systems Theory and Elinor Ostrom's Situational Action Theory. The purpose is to inform pupils of the work of Niklas Luhmann, the XX-century German sociologist of law, who has written a new perspective on relationships among social actors and the surrounding environment. The course is furthered through the brilliant asset constituted by Ostrom's theory, demonstrating that everyday life and RWG (real-world games) have the chance to show reality as they are interwoven with cognition and behavioral decision-making. In this course you will learn to see Literature as a means of entertainment, to learn about the history of humanity and your region. Likewise, write text in an appropriate way, assertive to the occasion. To learn all this it is important to master the fundamentals of research.

I am going to teach about English literature and Creative Writing. For English literature I can help students with essay writing, do some editing to their essay, help them with analysing quotes, and teaching them about the topics of literature and literary techniques. I would also teach them how to write a comparative essay. For creative writing, I would teach them about writing in different styles, like: a journal, a review, a letter or article. I would also be able to help with understanding poetry and Shakespeare. I prefer to teach the lesson online on Zoom.
