Knowing Portuguese is an asset in today's globalized world, in particular, in the job market. Portuguese is the 4th most spoken language in the world, the 3rd most widely spoken European language and the 1st language in the southern hemisphere. 261 million people speak Portuguese on the 5 continents and by 2050 there will be 380 million.

Portuguese is one of the most complex and expressive languages. The variations spoken in the ex-colonies of Portugal, namely Mozambique, Angola, and Brazil, obtain very different musicality and constructions. In this course, I will teach basic grammar with a focus on conversation. As additional material, I send students music and lyrics, books and articles to help with the learning process.
