I have taken part in several art projects in the Netherlands supported by prestigious funding bodies such as Mondriaan Fonds, Amsterdam Fond voor de Kunst, Fonds Podiumkunsten, among others. Guzheng is an instrument that is easy to start with but gets difficult with higher level. I hope to bring the joy of playing this meditative instrument to more people internationally.

This class is a communicative English class which is going to assist you in developing your speech and precision. Here we will explore, vocabulary with nuances in meanings, synonyms, idioms, proverbs, some phrasal verbs and prepositional phrases and all-around social English. The possibilities are endless for focusing on Public Speaking, Intonation and Voice Projection as well. For better results and further practice, your learning skills shall be stimulated by audio recordings, short readings and/or videos. If there are any specific topics you have in mind and wish to discuss, we can additionally explore and incorporate them into your lessons. I have taught privately and at language schools like La Scuola Italiana del Greenwich Village in New York and ItalCultura, the school of the Italian Cultural Institute of Chicago. During the first few lessons I will make sure you have the tools to pronounce and identify all the sounds of the Italian language. This step is essential! And it will make everything easier afterwards. When I teach Italian I try to avoid all the things that I hated as a language student. We will use real songs, real literature, do real conversation and storytelling. When you are engaging all your senses it is easier to keep your mind relaxed and to remember new words. I will customize my materials to your interests, needs and desired pace. And because you are learning from a native Italian you will also learn about Italian culture and history. You will absorb a way of thinking, not just grammar rules. I speak a bunch of languages so I know a thing or two about how tedious language classes can be. My terrifying French teacher in middle school made us repeat the same fake dialogue from a really bad book ad nauseam, over and over and over again. I hold a PhD degree in French Literature from Sorbonne University and I've been teaching French and English since 2013. I have a passion for French culture, literature, music, film and theatre, and I believe that it's through culture and experiencing the language directly in everyday life that you really immerse yourself in a language.
