Trusted teacher: 90% of my students don't have iPads. It works very well on PC. You could purchase a Wacom, in order to write with a stylus, instead with a mouse. No need of webcam. I share my screen. Students could see directly what I was writing on it. -------------------------------------------------- -------------------------------------------------- -------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------------ Boost your grade in math, physics, chemistry, statistics I got 1 in math during my primary and secondary school in Belgian system and was selected for the Belgian Mathematical Olympiad every year. I took part in further maths competitions where I was well ranked at the national level. There are no secrets in math: practice, practice, and practice ... More you do math exercises, deeper you will understand, your grade will go up, and you will love MATH. I am fully flexible and adaptable to the needs of each student. Beyond explaining the topic learned at school, I often show thing differently, in such a way the student could better understand the concept. Over the past, I coached students from different backgrounds and for different purposes. They are mainly from Belgium, France, Germany. In both state schools and international schools. To improve grade, special math/logic games session during holiday / university entrance tests, ... I respond to all kinds of request To take math courses with me, you don't need to have good grade (I will help you), neither love math but you have to have the motivation to get back on track (and willing spend TIMES on doing exercises, even after the session with me) Again: there are no secrets: practice, practice, and practice ...

Aurel - Amsterdam$42
Trusted teacher: Hello! My name is Aurel and I am a French Amsterdam-based drummer. Although currently specialized in Jazz music, I have studied various esthetics, and Pop and Rock music, in particular, are part of my background (I played in several pop-rock bands). Therefore I am able to teach a broad panel of music styles. I also have many drum methods and charts at my disposal, and have experience in teaching children from the age of 6, as well as teenagers and adults. Lessons and teaching method: I always adapt to the student's tastes and learning profiles. This is why, during the first lesson, and on a regular basis afterwards, I always take time to discuss with my students (or their parents if they are very young) to figure out together the path they want or need to follow. I will use charts and methods for those who need visual support to assimilate the skills or teach by ear and by demonstrating to the ones who feel more comfortable this way. I also play electric guitar and can jam with my students, which is a great tool for developing band playing skills or simply to have a good time. For those eager to make significant progress, I offer consistent and serious monitoring, with practice recommendations. I can for instance prepare a student for an audition or an entrance exam in a conservatory. If you are willing to improve your understanding of rhythm in general, you can also benefit from my knowledge of Indian Karnatic rhythm concepts, one of the most complete traditional approaches to rhythm. Students who simply want to learn at their pace, to have fun and unwind, are definitely welcome too! About me: In addition to my jazz drums bachelor and master degrees from the conservatory of Amsterdam (CvA), which included a thorough pedagogical training and a specialization in Indian Karnatic techniques, I benefit from 4 years of experience as an employed drum teacher in two French associative music schools (Ecole de musique de Nangis and Conservatoire des Deux Rives, Moret-sur-Loing). I am also an active musician, both on the Dutch and the French scene. My trio mainly tours in France and has played at venues such as the Sunside (Paris), or participated in competitions like the Keep An Eye International Jazz Award. I am also the co-leader of the sextet Chai Masters, finalist of several European competitions (Leiden Jazz Award, Golden Jazz Trophy in Lille, France, 7 Virtual Jazz Contest). Recently, the band was part of Keep An Eye The Records's finalists (March 2022). Looking forward to meeting you and passing on my know-how to you!

Trusted teacher: If you have always been intrigued by this unique language with a grate history, but you don't know where to start - Look no further! Hi! (Γειά!) My name is Kat. It's a shorter version of Katerina (Αικατερίνη or Κατερίνα), or Catherine as you know it in its English form. Hope I'm not scaring you off already! I am a singing teacher with special training in orthophony. I am a native Greek polyglot. I speak English at a native level thanks to my traveling family. I also speak Japanese, Danish and Swedish. As you may know, there are many versions of the Greek language, due to constant changes throughout history. Some well-known versions are Ancient Greek (and they are categorised by period, dialect, and form), Katharevousa (conceived in the late 18th century), and Modern Greek (Demotic). We call it "Νέα Ελληνικά" (Nea Elinika). Although Ancient Greek are studied in universities around the world, they are not used anymore. Many people with degrees in Ancient Greek would never be understood when speaking in modern Greece, unfortunately. With me you will be learning the alphabet, the grammar rules, and the syntax as used in modern times. Next time you visit Greece for your vacation, you will be able to speak freely and be understood. No matter what your mother tongue is, and how heavy the pronunciation you have, you will be able to bypass it and master the real sounds we use in Greek. I am not only a singing teacher. I have taught English to a group of Japanese teenagers, and helped them correct pronunciation before their studies abroad. In the past, I was also teaching art to young kids of ages 7 to 9. I have devoted my life to teaching. My method has been specifically developed to match the subject and the student. My motto is that the teacher must be the one to adjust to the student each and every time. I have been a part of the teachers network in ApprentUs for over a year. Send me a message with all your questions and we can start immediately. My plan will have you speaking Modern Greek in a month. Why learn Greek? * Because it is the root to many other languages around the world. After learning Greek vocabulary, you will start understanding the original meaning of so many words for example in English, Spanish, etc. You will learn how to find the root in every unknown word, and gain a different perspective on language learning. We Greeks learn a very complex language that keeps developing to the day, and we have great techniques to master it fast. * Rare and exotic languages have become very popular the last years. Languages like Korean and Japanese, too. Greece is probably already a place you visit often so you can actually put your learning to the test! * There are Greeks everywhere. As a Greek living abroad in Scandinavia for the past 5 years, I still cannot believe how often I meet other Greeks in the streets of Copenhagen and Malmö, where I usually stroll. Knowing Greek can come in handy if we ever decide to take over the world! * You live for the challenge. Admit it, the more difficult the language, the best it feels when you actually speak it. I will be helping along the way, through any difficulty. * Greeks can't help but fall in love with people who try to speak their language! You try it, and you'll see a huge smile on their face. You will probably earn some free shots of tsikoudia or ouzo.

Singing Lessons (Individual) - Pop, Jazz, Soul, Blues, Rock (in AMSTERDAM) (Amsterdam)
Stefano
Not just a singing teacher, but by the way also the best vocal coach you can get hold of at this moment and in this area of the Netherlands (so take your chance...;-)). For about 3 years I had a serious problem with my vocal chords (incomplete closure) and a dislocated larynx. I started to be in contact with Stefano by chance asking him to show me some (singing) exercises additionally to my treatment at the ENT-department of Martini Ziekenhuis Groningen as well as an ongoing therapy at a professional trained speech therapist. To cut a long story short: Within a couple of lessons and dedicated exercises he succeeded in re-positioning my larynx and got rid of my incomplete vocal cords closure, meanwhile the medical specialists had decided that the only cure could possibly be an operation... As a ‘side-effect’ I am now able to sing and control my voice like I have never been able before and could never have imagined that this was possible to achieve by just some simple but individually chosen exercises and practice. Grazie!

Excellence Math, Physics, Chemistry - Lycee - 19 average (London)
Mounir
Mounir has been tutoring my daughter for a few months (French syllabus, 3eme - Brevet level). She loves the lessons and looks forward to their weekly Zoom meeting. Mounir easily builds a good rapport with his students and makes lessons interesting and fun, building confidence along the way. He is methodical and organised in his approach and makes sure to go over any aspects of the lessons which may have been less well covered in class, leaving the student with a solid grasp of the entire syllabus. He also recommended alternative revision cards and exercise books with corrections which my daughter finds much more user friendly than the ones provided at her school. Overall a very satisfactory experience and we would recommend Mounir without hesitation to anyone looking for an excellent maths tutor.

CTCSOL Certified Mandarin Chinese teacher_ Learn Chinese Language and Culture in a systematic and fun way (Amsterdam)
Shan
I was thinking, that learning Chinese is extremely difficult, however, thanks to Shan,  this language becomes more and more clear for me. Every lesson is very productive and I feel, that I progress fast! Today, there are numerous teachers, who can teach you Chinese. However, only a few of them can make the educational process so interesting and enjoyable. Luckily for me, Shan is one of them and I am very happy, that I found her. Shan is very precise and corrects every my mistake. She can easily explain how to properly pronounce words with different tones, how to write syllables, the grammar and many more. I like, that with her, I am not just memorising Chinese language, but I do really understand it. Overall, without a doubt, I can say, that Shan is a great teacher! 心💕
