I aim to make sure students understand material intuitively first before delving into complicated questions and foster a friendly and patient learning environment. Instead of relying on memorising formulas, I teach students how to derive the formulas themselves, build upon their previous knowledge and use them to solve complex questions in a simple way, building their confidence in the process. To facilitate this, I use metaphors and every-day things to construct stories that help students remember concepts and relationships between them. My lessons are tailored to each student's needs, preferences and learning style so I am able to accommodate specific requests. I can help students work on improving both overall understanding of the subject as well as detailed and thorough understanding of specific topics/sub-topics. As someone who sat these exams myself, I know what the most common mistakes in each topic are, the best exam techniques and have lots of tips, tricks and resources I can share! I offer flexible scheduling, with availability during the day, early mornings, and late evenings for lessons online or in-person lessons near South Kensington. As a full time Data Lead and Exams Officer at Conisborough College, I have a unique view of performance metrics, and the latest knowledge on GCSE exams. With a specialism in Maths, Further Maths, and Physics, my style of teaching is an expression of my experiences as a student and a tutor. My past tutoring experiences range from teaching secondary school classrooms and a lot of work with 1-on-1's. We had our very first lesson with Valentin yesterday and I have decided to continue developing my skills in French language together with him due to various reasons... First of all Valentin has all the required communication skills which makes him a desirable teacher together with his kind and friendly approach. Moreover from the very first session he started to build a structure on which we can work on together. He also seems to be a good observer who can detect and correct the mistakes I make as well as providing me the right knowledge in order to improve my French as we proceed together. I would recommend Valentin if you need assistance with learning French at any level.

I highly recommend Parinaz for anyone trying to learn Farsi! Her teaching approach is excellent and she’s able to adeptly tailor the lessons to my existing knowledge, ensuring an optimal pace for learning. She also integrates cultural nuances/topics related to vernacular Farsi into lessons, which is great for someone like myself who’s interested particularly in speaking rather than reading/writing. Parinaz is also very flexible with time and scheduling, so even if you have an irregular personal schedule, she can find time to have a class with you.
