Trusted teacher: I achieved 8A*s and 3As in my GCSE. I was accepted Brampton Manor sixth form, one of the most prestigious sixth form in the United Kingdom. I achieved AAA in my A-levels in Biology, Chemistry and Maths. The journey of my GCSE's and my A-levels taught invaluable lessons that I can pass on to help students rapidly improve their grades. From this I can veer students to use their time wisely so that they can hone in on the necessary aspects required by their exams boards. I am able to deconstruct the most difficult concepts to students of any level. Questions and explaining topics from many angles with a student with the correct mindset is unbound by their capacity. I can provide this with also personally encouraging students to give them the belief and understanding of possibilities that they can reap from their hard-work. Seeing others succeed brings nothing but joy to me, so anyone who wants my assistance would undoubtedly receive the highest quality support.

Chemistry, biology and psychology can all be difficult subjects but with my lessons, I aim to help tackle the approaches to exam style questions, giving tips to memorising topics and hand made resources that I made in order for me to achieve 3A*s at A level. I would also be happy to teach these subjects at a GCSE standard, as well as offer assistance to those in primary school for SATS or 11 Plus, as I have been tutoring my sister for three years. I intend for lessons to be interactive, as well as productive, and hope that I am able to gain a connection with my students that will allow them to be comfortable!

I am a UCL Biological Sciences student seeking to offer a highly personalised tutoring experience that caters to my students' needs. I currently teach from Year 7 upwards with a speciality in exam preparation. I teach Geography, RS, Physics, and English from Years 7-11, and Mathematics, Biology, and Chemistry from Years 7-13. I aim to understand my tutees' unique concerns and explain concepts simply with many alternative approaches. As someone who has experienced obstacles to my own learning, I have a lot of empathy for students struggling with their learning, particularly those with learning differences and endeavour to develop an approach that works for them. I was a strong student in secondary school (Queen’s College, London) achieving A*s and As (and equivalents) at GCSE and three As at A-Level in Biology, Chemistry, and Mathematics. Particularly of note, I received a 9 in GCSE Mathematics, 98% in GCSE Religious Studies, and was awarded a sixth-form academic scholarship. I am an experienced tutor - I participated in a tutoring scheme in secondary school which allowed students from Year 7 to Year 12 to ask any questions they might be struggling with in any subject they wished. This allowed me to continue to engage with my GCSE content during my A-Level years and taught me how to listen to and understand the particular needs of each student at a given moment. I also tutored family and friends of family, allowing me to engage personally with my students and develop a specialised teaching approach. I offer one hour and two hour sessions and am free on weekends, after 5pm, and whenever my university timetable permits. I am generally free at all times outside of university term time.

I believe in a student- centred approach to learning to allow students to be as equally involve din their learning as the teachers. This allows a more individual based approach to help students learn, comprehend material and cater to their abilities. I offer self- paced and self-directed learning to cater to individual learning abilities, which also encourages students to feel comfortable asking questions and allowing students to realize their own personal growth. Students are provided with weekly homework and assignments to complete to allow the student and I to keep track of their progress. This approach helps students practice in exam conditions, allowing them to be comfortable and confident with exam style questions and techniques.

I recently completed my degree in Biological Sciences from the University of Edinburgh, where I graduated with upper Second Class Honours. I volunteered as a teaching assistant during my last two years of school, where I assisted GCSE and Year 1 A-level Biology teaching for two hours a week. At university, I was part of the Edinburgh University Biology Peer Assisted Learning Scheme, a student led group whose goal is to support first year students achieve their academic potential and ease their transit from high school to university life. I have been commended by teachers and pupils on my patience and ability to communicate with students of varying abilities. I reviewed A-level and GCSE Biology in depth during the past months as I was preparing for the BioMedical Admissions Test (BMAT).
Their are various aspects of the educational system and sometimes the way in which teachers express their lessons might be confusing for lots of students. But I encourage complete understanding in each topics we cover. Additionally I will promote self evaluation skills at the end of each lessons to help consolidate topics covered in the duration of session
