The introductory lesson was extremely helpful. During the introduction, Carlo asked about my favorite sax music and my motivation for taking up the sax. My instrument (a 1934 Buescher) was thoroughly examined. Then, there was a lot of attention and care given to the basics: posture, strap adjustment, reed placement, breathing, mouth technique, and so on. It's become clear to me that the foundation is everything. Carlo outlined a realistic perspective for the future. Lay that foundation carefully, stay patient, and practice. I've found my teacher to be a (professional) expert in every way: he listens well, is thorough, focuses on the main points, and has an eye for detail. And above all, he's passionate about music and sharing his expertise. I've taken follow-up lessons. Carlo is highly recommended.
