I specialise in tutoring GCSE English Language and English Literature, helping students build the skills and confidence they need to succeed in both exams. My lessons focus on clear exam technique, strong analytical writing, and understanding how to structure answers under time pressure. We work through unseen texts, past-paper questions, and set literature (poetry, novels, and plays), breaking down what examiners are really looking for. Students will learn how to analyse language and structure, develop thoughtful interpretations, plan essays efficiently, and write with clarity and precision. I adapt each lesson to the student’s level, whether they are aiming to pass confidently or push for the top grades. My goal is to challenge students without overwhelming them, turning English from something intimidating into a subject they can approach with confidence and control.
