Private saxophone classes aimed at all levels and abilities. Bring your favourite music to classes and make learning fun; I adapt my classes to each individual focusing on your passions.
I can teach pupils for fun or for graded examinations and if you are a complete beginner I will give advice on the best equipment to get you started as quickly as possible.

About Me

- I focus my lessons first and foremost on fun. Without passion and enjoyment, learning an instrument is pointless. Scales and exercises of course come into it, but I often blend these with musical examples chosen from the pupils’ preferred musical tastes.
- I will always give tasks and homework to do in between classes.
- I like my students to come to me with artists they enjoy listening to so that we can recreate their work in lesson time.
- I am a professional gigging and touring musician. I have, over the last year, returned to teaching to inspire people that it is possible and attainable to have a career in music.

I’m a professional musician who studied on the highly regarded jazz course at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance; whilst at Trinity I also studied Flute with members of some of London’s prestigious orchestras. I've performed all over London at well known venues like Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Club and The South Bank Centre but also played around in the city in jazz clubs like Kansas Smitty’s and Olivers. As well as performing in London I’ve played all around the UK and abroad at festivals such as the New Generations Festival in Florence (playing with American jazz artists such as Dominic Farinacci and Dan Tepfer). I’m also a highly experienced and regard teacher having taught all the way from university level to primary school. My teaching adapts to the pupil after we identify the areas we want to and wish to work on but also aspects of playing i think you need to improve or will be good to work on. Although I now work primarily as a jazz/commercial trumpet player, I have a strong foundation in classical music. For students wishing to attain musical grades, I have experience with the ABRSM syllabus.
