Every child is different and learns differently. Sometimes, a child may benefit from one on one teaching that suits their ability and learning style which can often not be catered to in larger academic settings. I aim to offer your child a boost of morale and a love for maths, by mastering of core concepts so that they feel confident in their abilities.

I am patient, calm, but firm as required to ensure that progress is made according to the child's personality and aptitude. I adapt my teaching style with short bursts of focus and concentrated learning, mini assessments, and age-appropriate concept learning with props to keep the children engaged and focused.

After school classes (UK) are offered in person/online, and international students are offered online options as suit the locations and schedules.

I have completed multiple Masters programs from Temple University, and the University of Cambridge and taken standardized assessments over the years with high scoring results to understand how they work. I have tutoring experience from a young age, and am well-versed with current curriculum requirements as I continue to support my own primary-aged children.

I am an enthusiastic, kind, and experienced teacher, who provides lessons for Spanish and English ranging from beginner to an advanced level.

During my lessons I help students learn and correctly pronounce vocabulary, grammar, reading, speaking, writing and understanding Spanish. I use various teaching methods suited to student’s level and age. I speak to my students mostly in Spanish and repeat with them keywords/phrases so that their knowledge is more enhanced.

I also have full working proficiency in English, having completed English Language and Literature for A-level, and I provide lessons for English too.

I specialize in tutorin English as a ESL and Spanish for school and for people who are interested in inmproving their language or want to learn a new language. My goal is to keep students challenged but not overwhelmed. I assign homework after every lesson , I provide material and I focus in pronunciation.

English SL and Higher Level for the International Baccalaureate is a rigorous course, especially for ESL students. I completed the IB with HL English and received a 7 (highest mark) in my final exam. I will be able to go over both Standard Level and Higher Level syllabuses for the course specific to the material covered in your school, and prepare you for mock and final exams. I will include essay writing skills, literary criticism and analysis, as well as vocabulary expansion techniques in my teaching. A brief overview of the key features of English SL/HL as set by the International Baccalaureate Organisation:

• Higher level study requires a minimum of 240 class hours, while standard level study requires a minimum of 150 class hours
• Students study 13 works at higher level and 9 works at standard level from a representative selection of literary forms, periods and places
• Students develop the ability to engage in close, detailed analysis of literary works, building understanding of the techniques involved in literary criticism
• The study of literary works in context is emphasised, and through the study of literature in translation the student is challenged to reflect on the role of cultural assumptions in interpretation
• Students are assessed through a combination of formal examination and oral and written coursework.
• The formal examination comprises two essay papers, one requiring the analysis of a passage of unseen literary text, and the other comparative response to a question based on two works studied
• Students also perform an oral activity presenting their analysis of two works studied
• HL students comply with an additional written coursework requirement which consists of writing a 1200 - 1500 word essay on one of the works studied

I will provide personal one on one support for the areas where your child is struggling in. I will make sure that they actually understand the concept rather than just focusing on the procedure and following steps. Maths is a very cumulative subject and it is important that any gaps in the foundation is addressed otherwise your child may continue to have difficulties later on.

If you have trouble understanding concepts from different mathematical areas such as geometry, linear algebra, arithmetic, or calculus, I can help you grasp the ideas by helping you through your preferred learning method. You might be a visual learner and you understand better through examples. Or maybe you need someone to point you to good sources of mathematical problems to solve, such as textbooks or online sources.
