We will choose the repertoire according to the student's wishes - classical or popular music.

My goal as a teacher is to keep and increase the students' love for music as well as to offer necessary and appropriate knowledge/skills to keep the student challenged and of course enjoy the fun of singing!

About Me

Hi,

I am Elisa, a passionate musician and music teacher based in Vienna and Tallinn.

I have a very diverse musical background - classical, electronic, pop, jazz, folk music
(instrumental and vocal music).

I am also a singer-songwriter and started my solo project Pološywa in 2019. In fall 2021 I released my electronic debut album "Existence".

My name is Denise and I'm a professional singer with a singing master's degree from Catalonia's Music College (ESMUC) specialized in Historical Singing, Musicology and Music Education.
My experience runs mostly in early and chamber music, nevertheless I also have the experience and knowledge of popular musical styles such as Latin-American folk, jazz and musicals.
As a docent or vocal coach I've collaborated with different academic institutions and private artistic projects, focusing mostly on international students or social integration programs.

I am an Italian pianist, I graduated at F. Liszt Academy of Music in Budapest. I offer piano accompaniment to instrumentalists and singers. Being Italian my native language, I may support singers with pronunciation for the Italian Opera repertoire. A typical class would start with warm-up exercises, then we would work on repertoire that I can suggest (after I can assess the vocal range). Of course you can always take pieces with you!
I can also accompany you on the piano for my own repertoire suggestions.

The human voice is the instrument closest to us. Therefore, I believe that through voice training, you not only discover the joy of singing, but also get to know yourself and your own body much better.
I am studying solo singing myself and am therefore very much looking forward to meeting motivated and musical singers.
Above all, a natural and healthy singing technique is very important to me, because only then do you have the right tools to work musically and interpretatively.

My current schedule changes every week (rehearsals/university/concerts) so for now I would always make appointments a week in advance instead of keeping a fixed date every week.

Learn to play/sing favorite songs:
- Depending on your ability, we simplify (or enrich) the accompaniment and improve it in a fluid manner
- I'll show you various "hacks" and shortcuts
- you don't have to do anything "right", you can follow the fun.
- play/practice without pressure, how does that work...? You can make it easier for yourself! How much time you invest stays with you. :-)
- any style possible, as long as it makes sense for you technically
- Singing: easy!

Write your own songs:
- I give you different "glasses", "rails" through which you come up with new ideas, both for the music as well as the lyrics and singing
- "writers block" - from the head back to the heart using simple techniques
- learn to use the hidden treasure trove of ideas in your body (subconscious)!
- and most importantly: have fun with “bad” songs!

generally:
- you will find clear goals for each hour (e.g. record a song or parts of it,...), for the next few weeks and for the next months
- we record as much as possible because it is the best exercise (and the most exciting ;-) and you have something "in your hands" that is satisfying in itself, no matter how "perfect" it is (everything is perfect How clean is up to you ;-).

- and above all: learn to feel what really makes you happy.
