Hello, my name is Kenza. I'm from Morocco and I'm a native French speaker. Learning a language is very energy-consuming and boring if you do not choose the right tutor. For my learners, I will make this process very easy, fun, and rewarding. My teaching is very specialized, so I not only provide a unique learning experience but also focus on overcoming each person's weaknesses.

The course includes the 4 strands of the French language: listening, speaking, reading, and writing. I focus on grammar, conjugation, spelling, and oral and written communication. I work with French textbooks, French stories, games, quizzes, and field tasks.

I studied in Morocco until high school to get my sciences Math Baccalureate Diploma with 17.05/20 as a general grade.
I am currently studying in the US at Duke University, majoring in molecular Biology/Biotechnology.

I have previously tutored students in-person French, Biology, and English. I am currently holding a Peer Tutor position at my university and will receive a Trainig/CRLA certificate by the end of the academic year.
I have been the first student in French class during my whole education in my home country.
At only 13, I have participated in a National French Spelling/Dictation contest to represent my school. I was a quarter-finalist.
I have obtained the level C2 (highest level) in the French Language Proficiency Exam.

I have a Master's degree in English language and literature, a Master's degree with honours in Tourism, Hotel and Restaurant Business and a Master's degree in International Law. I also earned diplomas from the Ministry of Education of France : DELF; Spanish diplomas DELE from Cervantes Institute (Madrid), German diploma from Goethe Institute and Japanese - Language Profiency diploma (Tokyo).
I am experienced both with teaching children and adults for business, pleasure or exams. I prepare students for their GCSE/iGCSE, IB leading them to enter leading prep schools and universities

My name is Hicham (Here the French spelling of my first name make it sound "HiTChem" in English speaking countries - which i find awful to hear :) so the exact spelling to pronounce it right should be Heesham). And this is the perfect example that Pronounciation is one of the most important matter in French learning; not only for you to be able to understand French words and learn them, but also and mostly to be able to be understood when you speak them. Just like it's hard to understand a new english speaker with a strong foreign accent

Imagine: "Un ver vert va vers un verre vert". Which means that a green worm is going towards a green glass. This doesn't make any sense but it illustrates what we call Homonymes. The word homonyme comes from Latin, more specifically as "Homos" (similar) and "onoma" (name). And it get more complicated when Homophones have the same pronounciation but not the same meaning nor the same spelling. Or worst; "Homographes" which are written the same spelling but complete different meaning and pronounciation. And finally the most tricky ones are the perfect Homonymes like:" un TOUR de magie" and la TOUR d'un chateau. (Magic trick and Castle Tower)...

But don't worry - You don't need to understand what the Oceans are made of to be able to swim.
