Latin Class and Western History Tutoring (SAT and Interests)
I am a state certified Latin teacher with experience teaching all levels. My goal is to make Latin, and the doors it opens, available to any learner, at any time.
This class is for anyone interested in exploring the roots of European and western civilization and language. Latin and the world of the Romans serves as a gateway to the worlds of language study, politics, economics, social systems and more. If the only Latin you've ever known is "et cetera," or if you've read the Gallic Wars more than once, I'd love to hear from you.

Contrary to popular belief, learning Latin is not like learning the phone book by heart.
I offer you Latin lessons that are unlike any other. There are two types of courses. Here is an analogy to illustrate their respective approaches:
If you take the train back and forth every day and don't have time to wait long at the platform, imagine that you only have two options:
1) Learn the schedules by heart.
2) Note that the train arrives every ten minutes and that a train arrives for example at 7:00 a.m.
In school pedagogy, in study notebooks and in ordinary courses, it is the first approach which is adopted - in the courses that I offer you, it is the second because it is more economical and faster.
My offer is aimed at both students and adults who want to learn the Latin language or deepen their knowledge without time-consuming detours through the insanities of school methods which do not produce results.
Learning is easy but unlearning what has become a bad habit is extremely difficult. All the more important it is to learn the right reflexes as early as possible. With my tailor-made teaching you will accelerate your learning in a positive state of mind.
I offer individual or group Latin lessons (2 to 5 people). The methods are based on cognitive sciences and in particular historical linguistics.
What will not be the subject of the course:
learn lists of verbs;
learn lists of nouns with their gender;
learn words with their translations;
memory card game;
doing school exercises;
follow the program in a notebook;
impose French grammar on the Latin language.
What matters to me in particular:
motivate my student and give him a learning rhythm;
encourage creativity;
make friends with language;
letters and their sounds
strengthen your memory by working on the phonological loop;
teach construction plans instead of having people learn sentences by heart;
explain how the language works to make my student independent as quickly as possible;
breaking preconceived ideas such as the gammatical gender would have a link with the biological gender, the accusative would be a direct complement and the dative an indirect complement, the verbs would be irregular, the declension would be random and therefore to be learned with each verb... ;
place practice at the center and articulate grammar around practice.
In the context of a first course, you can get a well-founded idea of my pedagogy.
I look forward to meeting you.
Latin Course: Translation, Civilization, Grammar...
I adapt to your needs, whether you have difficulties in middle school or high school (both optional or specialized) in Latin courses, whether you want to translate a particular text, whether you are looking to learn the language from A to Z or simply to broaden your culture with civilization courses, I am the one for you!
Every student is different, so it is essential to adapt to both your personality and your needs in order to establish a working method that is beneficial to you.
Latin and Greek for ESO, Baccalaureate and university entrance exam preparation students.
I am a Classical Philology student at the University of Valencia, with great teaching skills and a knack for explaining things.
Classical languages are essential for learning our own language and a great help for learning other diverse languages.
My teaching methodology is to consolidate the foundations of the subject with simple but well-explained examples, with the goal of improving the understanding of languages from their roots and helping the student acquire fundamental knowledge for continuing or deepening their study of the subject.
Latin for Beginners: prep for entrance exams at 13+
In this Latin course, I offer "Common Entrance at 13+" training (including scholarship papers) for those students who have studied Latin for one or two years, and would like to revise, do translations and read from fun books such as Minimus or So you really want to learn Latin. Plenty of cultural stories and mythology in the mix, besides battles and august men. A basic understanding of grammar (or willingness to learn) expected. Ideally, students ought to be doing Latin at school and preferably have a second language (a Romance language ideal for securing a higher grade).
Private general history course (from middle school to master's level)
I offer general history courses tailored to the needs of students, from middle school to master's level. The sessions aim to develop both an understanding of major periods and historical issues, as well as the ability to critically analyze sources and events. Depending on the level, courses may focus on reviewing chronological bases, preparing for exams (maturité, baccalauréat, mid-terms), in-depth thematic study (social, political, cultural, international history), or even support for research and writing academic papers. The teaching methods are interactive and personalized: contextualizing key concepts, explaining documents, synthesis exercises, and dissertation practice. The objective is to give students solid tools to understand the issues of the past and develop critical thinking skills that are useful both in their studies and in their daily lives.

I make learning engaging, practical, and enjoyable, so you feel confident using what you learn. I’d be delighted to be your teacher and guide you on your journey with Greek and Latin!
History classes and exam preparation (ESO and Bachillerato)
History is a discipline that deals with the systematic study of the past, both at a concrete level (regional, period-specific) and at a more general level (as a historical process, encompassing long periods of time). History is crucial for understanding the world we live in, as well as the historical events and processes that most influence us today.
In history courses, you'll learn about various periods in history, but we'll also specialize in practical cases that help us understand periods in the past.
The role of the Financial crisis in the wake of 1789: the political role of the public debt
This 60-minute course examines the pivotal role of France's crippling public debt in the lead-up to the 1789 Revolution. We will explore how decades of costly wars left the monarchy fiscally insolvent. The course will reveal how the Crown's attempts to reform the tax system—and extend taxation to the privileged nobility and clergy—sparked a political showdown. We will analyze how the aristocracy’s refusal to sacrifice its fiscal exemptions created a constitutional deadlock, forcing the king to convene the Estates-General for the first time in over 150 years. Ultimately, this course demonstrates that the financial crisis was not merely an economic problem, but a deeply political one that catalyzed the collapse of the Ancien Régime.
