Konnichiwa (Hello),
I am Japanese native from Osaka and currently living in Geneva, Switzerland. I teach at Japanese School in Geneva and also offer private Japanese lessons from a complete beginner including children to an advanced learner. After understanding each learner's level, interest and goal, I will offer a main textbook and overview of the course plan. I will be using balanced approach that will improve listening, speaking, reading, and writing through proven textbooks, exercises and weigh on the practical conversations. For JLPT preparation, I will offer lessons with the text suitable for the target level across required skills. I can teach in Japanese or English fluently and in French to a limited extent. I offer my lessons online, face to face at my place or near my place. All my students are repeated students who enjoy engaging and interactive atmosphere. I hope to see you soon in my lesson!

About Me

Thank you for visiting my profile. I am Japanese native from Osaka and currently living in Geneva, Switzerland. Learning language is not easy but can be fun when you realise your progress. I believe in the importance of continuous learning and the positive influence of teacher in achieving each learner's goal. I will do my best to help your journey and make learning enjoyable with fully customised approach based on your needs and objective. On top of the private Japanese teacher job, I teach 5/6 yrs of children at Japanese school in Geneva. I also have extensive business background and experience in translation between English and Japanese. I am easy on communicating with people from different background. I majored English in my university and obtained bachelor's degree from Kobe City University of Foreign Studies, Kobe Japan.
I have completed a professional training course and got certified as Japanese language teacher.

I have taught both students (14 - 18) and adults conversational Japanese, with specific focus on conversation and grammar. I will also provide basic understanding of Japanese culture and make this a fun, interactive and exciting learning experience.

I studied Japanese, oral and written, for 10 years, including 2 years in Japan. I have a JLPTn2 as well as a bachelor's and a master's degree in Asian studies. In addition, I have experience as a teacher.

Our Mandarin Chinese and Japanese courses are designed for beginners who want to discover the language and culture, as well as intermediate students who want to improve their communication skills. At the beginner level, participants learn the essential basics: pronunciation, tones, and pinyin for Chinese; hiragana and katakana for Japanese; and simple vocabulary and grammar for introducing themselves, asking questions, and discussing everyday life. At the intermediate level, the program delves deeper into grammar, vocabulary, and oral expression to enable more natural conversations, reading dialogues or short texts, and writing more complex sentences, while discovering cultural aspects of both countries. Course content remains highly flexible and adapts to the needs, interests, and pace of each student, offering a personalized and motivating learning experience.
