- Dramatic coaching for theater actors and singers

I am a professional stage director (recent credits include Juilliard’s Rinaldo in Concert and Syracuse Opera’s Don Giovanni); as an assistant and revival director, I have worked at Deutsche Oper Berlin, Opernhaus Zurich, Santa Fe Opera, Washington National Opera and more. Having worked with so many different singers and directors has allowed me to develop my coaching, teaching and character work skills - for actors and (in particular) for singers. I was also the Directing Fellow at the Juilliard School for two consecutive years, where I learned from Stephen Wadsworth in the postgraduate program. I recently taught an acting course at Montclair University, and have been teaching privately for years. As a director, I have also worked with a variety of young artists - for instance at the Glimmerglass Festival and the Metropolitan Opera’s Lindemann Program. Being a French and Austrian native, I also specialize in French and German diction.

Singing, Public Speaking and Vocal Confidence - from Classical to Pop & Shakespeare to Game of Thrones
Vocal confidence is crucial in every walk of life, and singing is a fantastic way to boost it. Each voice is unique and should be both heard and celebrated. These classes are designed to encourage pupils to release themselves from the pressures that often come with singing, acting and public speaking, allowing the individual to find confidence in their own voice. My work is applicable to singing, acting monologues and public speaking so, whatever your focus, I can draw on years of experience and tuition to help. I am a very experienced singer and musician, currently training in Acting at the prestigious Arts Ed, London. My main aim is to build on a pupil's passion and own interests, prioritising an enjoyable, tailored approach to learning.

How do I overcome my fear of speaking publicly? - Exercises and methods against stage fright
Dear pupils, students, apprentices, job seekers, friends out there! You have chosen a topic for your next presentation that you like completely but the idea of presenting it in public or at an exam is causing you nightmares? Do you start to sweat before you even get to the seminar introduction round? Or are you facing an important job interview and are afraid that your nervousness will put a spanner in the works? Then I would like to help you. Throughout my life I have struggled with my shyness myself and know how you feel .. Maybe that's why I've been on the stage since I was 5 and try to free myself from my fears by dancing, making music and acting in the spotlight (or better deal with them ^^) Through my acting training, but also through my experience in pedagogical work, as well as through everyday life and pursuing my artistic dreams, I have learned and internalized countless methods and exercises, and noticed that there are different approaches for every person and every situation, with To deal with stage fright. I would like to convey this to you so that you can set out to explore your potential and to convey it to the outside world. I would like to work with you as holistically as possible and in the medium term, but I am also ready to help at the last moment and to put on an emergency performance with you, or to give a one-hour crash course on a specific problem. The main thing is that you feel like improving yourself in the area :) I am happy! Nadine

Shakespeare for fun! Learn, act and understand the Bard
Shakespeare can be scary, or fun! By focusing on one of Shakespeare's plays (you can choose the one you're studying at school), we will dive into just what the Bard is saying through all that poetry and funny old language. As an actor and teacher, I will help you get to grips with this dense material through actually speaking the words, movement, and discussion to become much more at ease with Elizabethan English, allowing you to access just what these plays are all about. If you don't know your thous from your thees or a popinjay from a canker-blossom, don't worry, you'll be spouting verse like a pro by the end of this class. I can adapt this for your skill level and age; I've taught Shakespeare to kids as young as 9!

Regardless of what you want to get of the sessions, these 5 main areas of focus remain as a constant at the bedrock my practise in order to ensure a rounded and cohesive training.
