Hello! I am a classically trained pianist with a Master's Degree from the Royal Conservatoire of The Hague.
I have 9 years of teaching experience, with students from all ages and levels. My teaching methodology is focused on adapting to the student's needs and motivations while passing on my knowledge to help the student develop musical independence and create a personal connection with music.

I organize 2 class concerts per year in a beautiful venue, so that the pupils perform their favourite pieces and showcase their progress to family, friends, and classmates.

During the lessons, there are several aspects of piano playing that I can help with, according to the student's aims and musical level:
- learning how to read scores
- basics of music theory
- develop technical capabilities
- learning how to play by heart
- finding your musical taste
- preparing for piano exams (ABRSM)

And the most important aspect is to have fun and enjoy the journey!

Acerca de mí

Born in Porto, Portugal, pianist Carlota has performed as a soloist and chamber musician in Festival ESMAE; Februari Festival and the Spring Festival in the Hague. She recently served as co-curator of MULTIVERSO Performative Arts Music Festival at Tipografia do Conto Arts, Books & Residence in Porto. An advocate for contemporary music, Carlota has premiered many solo and chamber music works by composers such as Diderik Wagenaar and Guus Janssen. She is a graduate of Escola Superior de Música e Artes do Espetáculo (ESMAE), where she studied with renowned pianists Pedro Burmester and Madalena Soveral. In 2022 Carlota graduated as a Master student of Ellen Corver at the Royal Conservatory in The Hague.

Start the new course learning to play piano!

I am a professional classical pianist, accompanist, creator, and composer with a Bachelor's Degree from the Conservatorium van Amsterdam and a Master's Degree from the Royal Conservatorium in the Hague. For 7 years now, I have been teaching students of all levels between 5 and 60 years old.

Lessons are based on your level, interests, and goals. Together we can find out if you are keener on classical repertoire, or if you want to play your favorite pop music, some beautiful soundtrack from a movie you like or compose/improvise new pieces. With my experience in teaching diverse genres, I will help you explore the music that you like.

The central pillars I always work with are technique and creativity, which are much more connected than you would expect! While we advance, I also introduce the basics (or more deeply, if you are interested) of music theory to learn to communicate with each other in musical terms (chords, keys, score reading, etc.). And above all, the goal is to enjoy and have fun!

I am a Portuguese 22 year-old student doing a bachelor degree in classical flute, in the Royal Conservatory of The Hague. I want to start to give lessons in order to upgrade my teaching experience.

I will teach basics (how to produce sound, how to play scales and simple melodies)but I also want to teach student in their secondary education how to develop their musicality and technique.

My name is Uma and I am originally from Spain. I have been living in The Hague for the past five years. After completing a Bachelor’s degree in Modern Flute in Madrid and a Master’s degree in Zürich, I recently finished a Bachelor’s degree in Early Music and historical flutes at the Koninklijk Conservatorium The Hague. I am currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Music Education, which allows me to continuously refine my teaching approach.
I have more than 10 years of teaching experience and enjoy encouraging curiosity while adapting lessons to each student’s interests and needs. All ages and levels are welcome, and I strive to make learning music both structured and fun.

Learn to play the saxophone on a fun way with other people on your same level. The group classes are usually between 2 and 4 people max.

Learning music in group is one of the best ways to keep motivated when learning a new skill. You can always switch to individual lessons if you feel you need extra practice later on.

If you don’t have an instrument yet it is possible to rent one at the classes to bring home.

My name is Wimian Hernandez. I am from Cuba and I am graduated from the Royal Conservatory of the Hague with a Master degree in Classical Double bass.I am currently doing the Academy of NederlandPhilharmonic and Kamerorkest I have been in the world of Classical music since 15 years ago having a complete education in Piano, Theory music double bass and Music History. Since I arrived in the Hague (almost 4 years ago) I started to teach the piano to kids and It has been wonderful to see how they progress and how fast they learn it. Techniques to give voice to your musical ideas! Your melodies for various instrumentations, such as strings, woodwinds, brass, percussion, jazz, pop/rock, or various combinations.

There's also the opportunity to learn about Harmony and Keyboard Voicings (chords/harmony and chord melody). These methods can be put into practice with Harmony Progressions (including with your own compositions/songs, etc.) to see how Harmony works with the concept of Functional Harmony and beyond.

We discuss where your musical preference lies and which way we are going. In any case, fun is paramount!

I like to give students freedom so that they can develop their own knowledge as they learn.
I like to give dynamic lessons in which students can actively participate, and I also participate, for example, by playing the horn with them or doing exercises that make the lessons more enjoyable.

During my studies, I practised posture and relaxation techniques for musicians, something that I also consider important.
