Science and Math Tutoring for High School and College Students

Hello Students,

I am currently a third year PhD student in St. John's University, New York. I have been tutoring high school and college students since 2012 and have a great flair for teaching. My teaching style involves thought process and application oriented teaching which focuses on making the student think for themselves and reach to the solution. I explain using practical examples and analogies which further assists students to grasp difficult concepts. Understanding the concepts and being able to apply them is my prime focus.

In my academic career, I have been blessed to have amazing teachers who made science and math extremely fun and intriguing to me and I aim to do the same to my students. Being a PhD student in Pharmacology, I have been trained in all aspects of science and practically apply them during my daily research. I have always been a bright student and have an innate flair for explaining scientific concepts to an audience. Teaching science and math in a fun way makes my classes all the more interesting to my students. My students give me excellent reviews and often tag me as highly recommended and they see a great improvement in their grades.

Good luck!
- Abbas

Professional IB Math (HL/SL and Studies) and Calculus Tutor
Hello, my name is Denny. I am a full-time tutor with over 10 years of experience and I focus on teaching one single subject---Mathematics. I have extensive experience tutoring IB Mathematics (HL, SL, and studies) and Calculus (AP and university level). I have helped many students with IB exam preparation and the average score improvement of my students is more than 2 (IB grading scale). I teach my students effective learning skills so that they grasp key concepts much faster and I train my students useful problem-solving techniques so that they can solve IB exam questions much easier. I have collected and analyzed all the IB maths past papers in the past 10 years, which allows me to precisely help my students revise all the topics that definitely will be tested in the IB final exams. Ultimately, the tutelage my students are getting from me will enable them to obtain better grades in the exams. For IB Mathematics HL, I teach all four option topics: Statistics and probability; Sets, relations and groups; Calculus; Discrete mathematics. For students who are planning to apply for top universities, I have experience coaching different Maths Admission Tests (such as MAT for Oxford, STEPS for Cambridge, and more) I love Calculus and I also have rich experience teaching AP and university level Calculus. If you want to get the perfect grade in your AP final exam or you want to get a better score for your calculus course, I can help you maximize your efforts and achieve your goal. Deep understanding is essential in science, I propose to reinforce the knowledge by starting from the original course of the student. This method is in my opinion the most effective. I am also willing to teach a course of my preparation. I am primarily speaking to high school and high school students. I have experience in public education, mainly in physics. I also enjoy several experiences in the private sector. My students succeed and learn to learn. The culture of self-confidence will always be dominant in my teaching.

Private math lessons in French by shared interactive whiteboard
I give remote math lessons, in French, by shared interactive board for high school and high school students. I am civil engineer architect and I teach for 7 years. The most important thing for me is to personalize the lessons, to guide the student so that he understands the subject by himself, so that he manages to organize his work, to structure his reasoning, to manage his time, to manage his stress and finally to gain confidence in him. All this is done by adapting the course to its type of learning, putting all our energy to target and overcome blockages, and finally achieve autonomy. If you have any questions, do not hesitate to write me, I will be happy to answer you as soon as possible.

I accompany students from the sixth to the final who have a need to have regular support, or a renewed motivation
I accompany students from the sixth to the final year who have a need for regular support, or increased motivation and learning after dropping out of school. I teach a systematic way of working, fully focused on efficiency. Whatever the purpose of my students, I teach them first of all that to revise an exam, it is absolutely necessary to understand what is expected of them. A mathematics test at the Baccalauréat is not prepared in the same way as a return to preparatory classes. The first thing to do, even before studying the lesson, is to study the exam.
