Meine Unterrichts besteht darin, den Schülern viele Möglichkeiten zur Mitgestaltung zu geben.

Die Unterrichtsmethode passe ich dabei dem individuellen Lerntempo und den Bedürfnissen meiner Schüler*innen an. Es ist mir wichtig, dass sie nicht nur Fortschritte machen können, sondern auch Freude an der Musik haben.

Ich lege auch Wert auf intuitives Lernen, unterstütze meine Schüler dabei, ihre eigenen musikalischen Vorstellungen zu entwickeln, und biete die notwendigen Grundlagen, um diese zu verwirklichen. Dabei stehe ich ihnen mit Rat und Tat zur Seite. Ich bin an jeder Art von Musik interessiert klassiche Musik, lateinamerikanische Musik, Jazz, Pop, etc.

So wie bei meiner Musik bin ich auch bei meinen Schülern für alles offen: jeder ist willkommen. Ob auf Anfänger-, Mittelstufen- oder Fortgeschrittenenniveau - jeder Schüler soll Spaß und Freude an der Musik, seinem Instrument und an seiner musikalischen Sprache haben.

I am Dario, an Italian Berlin-based guitar teacher teaching in English, Spanish, and Italian.

My sessions are open to singers of all levels and backgrounds and with all genre preferences (I *am* specialize in classical, pop, bossa nova, and jazz).

I offer sessions to all interested individuals, where we will together assess where you are at, and what you want to work towards. I will adapt my teaching to what can benefit you better: my job is to walk beside you and guide you through your own process of self-discovery and exploration, not only working on the guitar itself but also on the emotional implications of playing, often a very vulnerable act of giving and opening up.

I have a certificate in Public Speaking Technique and attended various guitar masterclasses. I have been working as a professional guitarist, singer, and event organizer in Berlin. I also work as a professional podcaster and podcast editor.

Like with languages, intuition plays a huge part in learning an instrument. Most often in music, the correct choice will the the one that ~feels~ the most natural. This is what my teachers, from when I was a kid, all the way to the end of my studies at the conservatory, have prioritized in lessons; Working less hard to sound better.

I’m here to help you in the same way, to decipher with you certain sounds, certain gestures in recorder playing, so that we can map out together your skill set, and eventually find your own style of play.

When it comes to the grammar part of music, I’m ready to teach you everything about reading notes, intervals, chords, and all the principles of music theory, with examples and fun exercises.

I am a very patient person, and have experience with beginners as well as “matured” amateurs :)

I hold a masters in early music, along with a bachelors in classical composition.

My dream is to live from composition mainly, writing music for concerts, film and ballet. Currently I’m working on a ballet commission from the Schauspielhaus in Zurich, and more original music for a series of concerts next summer in France.

My favorite composers are Bartok... and a bunch of anonymous medieval ones.
