Ronald - Liège$32
Trusted teacher: The current context requires us to have as little contact as possible... But the good news is that webcam lessons remain possible :) I come from Costa Rica and have lived in Belgium with my family for 10 years. Spanish is my mother tongue. I have a solid professional experience in the private, public and associative sector. I juggle with different methodologies depending on the context of the course and especially the objectives to be achieved. I taught at the university, at Ifapme, in the associative sector (training and remediation), within companies as well as to individuals with very different objectives such as studies, a move to Spain, a travel to Latin America or simply learning a new language for fun or sharing and improving knowledge in the context of group conversation tables for example... In any case, I manage to awaken the motivation and interest of my students thanks to a dynamic, creative and communicative approach. I am available weekdays and weekends, daytime and evenings. I can give private lessons to primary and secondary school students, to high school and university students and to professionals, beginners to very advanced, intensively or not, privately or in groups. I have a master's degree in economic and social planning with an emphasis on project management as well as a bachelor's degree in administration (National University of Costa Rica). The transmission of knowledge has always been my passion. I had the opportunity to teach on several occasions throughout my career: in universities, in associations, within companies or even in private homes. And like everyone else, I had to adapt to the current situation... by giving online lessons! My career : - November 2016 - current: Freelance intra-company Spanish language trainer - member of the team of language trainers at IFAPME Liège-Huy-Waremme - January 2018 - current: Project manager at Aquilone asbl - intercultural center in Liège - January 2016 – current: Spanish teacher at Rem'aide asbl (primary, secondary and high school) in Liège + private lessons at home - January 2016 - current: Animator of conversation tables at the Librairie Tous Directions (Liège) - November 2015 – current: Independent sworn translator, at the Court of First Instance of Liège (sworn and free French-Spanish translations for individuals and companies) - February 14 - May 2015: Conversation table facilitator in Spanish at Action Langues Verviers + private lessons - January 2010 - June 2012: Professor at the National University of Costa Rica (courses taught: social communication, planning theory, diagnosis and planning, project formulation) and internship tutor: local development projects - January 2010 - June 2012: Responsible for virtual communication and development at the National University of Costa Rica - September 2011 to April 2012: Professor at the University of Science and Art (Courses: administration and foundations of microeconomics) - January 2006 - May 2012: Co-founder, festival director and trainer at the Horizonte Verde Costa Rica Association (training on environmental protection for groups of children, adolescents and adults, support in their initiatives) - July 1997 - May 2012: Head of production of the Audio-visual Unit of the Judicial School of the Ministry of Justice (production of informative and educational videos)

I am competent, strict and organized. In my classes there is no room for despair, "I can't" or procrastination. In addition, I like to keep a daily follow-up of the student (so that learning is continuous), so apart from my face-to-face classes, I always correct exercises and resolve doubts through WhatsApp to my students.

Sam - Friedrichshain$55
Trusted teacher: German I started teaching piano by chance – to refugees. That's when I realized how powerful music can be in supporting people. Over the years, teaching has become something I truly cherish. I continue to work as an artist, and music and art remain my greatest passions. But the moments I share with my students have become just as meaningful. I've been able to build connections with people in ways I never expected, and I see this work as a way to contribute to a better world. Most of my students are adults. Some played as children and are starting again, others are complete beginners; some are advanced and want to delve deeper. In lessons, we work not only on technique but also on musical understanding: reading what's "in" the score, developing interpretation, and experiencing music as a living language—not just as dots on a piece of paper. I also enjoy teaching children and accompanying their growth over a longer period. Seeing how music supports their development always moves me deeply. Come by and see if it's right for you. If you're curious, just write to me. For me, music is a tool for self-development and connection. Portuguese Come to the piano at the same time, with people in refuge. When you pass the old ones, you can see how valuable it is in depth. Continuo trabalhando as artista, e musica e arte seguem sendo minhas maiores paixões. These moments are very significant. Alguns tocaram when children and is voltando, outros são iniciantes do zero; Alguns are already advanced and have a professional background. Ver como a musica apoia or desenvolvimento delas é semper emociónante. If you are curious, this is what I want to say. Teis - Amsterdam$68
Trusted teacher: My name is Teis. I am a Danish guitarist trained in Jazz music at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam and USC Thornton School of Music (Los Angeles). I have played since age 7, studied since age 13, and played professionally since age 18. I work professionally as a band leader, composer, and side person. After around 25 years of experience on the guitar, I can confidently say that I am equipped to share the knowledge that I have accumulated over the years. In all honesty: I have never found myself to be particularly "talented". But I am a hard worker. I truly believe that talent is not something you are born with, but something you can develop and grow. Together we will explore secrets and tips for a healthy guitar routine. We will improve your technique and ear training abilities with direct and fun exercises. Whether you are just a beginner or an intermediate/advanced guitarist, we can explore the instrument and all its possibilities. Practicing and playing with a teacher in a one-on-one situation is the most effective way to get better faster, and I advise it to all the guitar and music lovers out there. In my guitar course, we start from where you are at and set a goal fitting to what you want to achieve. For example, our focus could be a.o.: Fingerpicking Soloing Accompanying yourself Songwriting Two ways to go about it; Single lesson: We go from where you are at the moment, and I help you move forward. 5 or 10 lesson bundle: I will make a detailed plan for you and we will conclude the lessons with a performance of some sort. I will help you elevate and broaden your skill set, in your preferred style, but also ear training and theory. We will build a sustainable practice routine together, and you will get access to a library of practice play-alongs and manuals, that you can use to build a solid platform as a musician! Looking forward to hearing from you :)

Marta is an excellent teacher. I say that as a Headteacher in the UK. She was quick to pinpoint my understanding of Spanish and how to move it forward. The lesson worked well over the internet. Marta was very warm and knowledgeable about both Spanish and English.

I had a fantastic experience learning from Samantha. As an intermediate player I wasn‘t sure if lessons were what I needed, but was absolutely proved wrong by Samantha’s expertise and precious insights. Can’t wait to go back!
