In need of help with your French homework? Looking to start from scratch and learn this beautiful -yet difficult (I know!) language? You are at the right place!
I have more than 6 years experience in teaching and tutoring French. I am myself passionate about languages and like to help people who want to speak mine.
If you are in need of school support, I will base our classes on what you cover at school. We will deepen concepts and I will propose my own exercises and methods to make sure you can learn rapidly, without too much effort. If you are preparing for an exam (GCSE, A-levels, etc), we will practise exam papers together, according to the exam board.
If you are looking to learn French with me, we will discuss what aspects you are most keen to develop first (speaking? understanding? writing? reading?) and I will adapt our lessons. I will use my own ressources, as well as Internet-found material, videos and more to keep classes light and engaging.
As I am currently not home, our classes will be online. To keep it fun and interesting, I use Miro boards which allows us to interact during the class, for you to be pro-active and to co-create beautiful learning material together. As I am myself working in the creative industry, I like to implement exercises that trigger your creativity, and that bring a relaxed and fun environment for learning.
Allez, c'est parti!

Hello !
I have been passionate about education and playful learning for over 10 years. I obtained a first Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Imperial College London, then a second in Interaction Design from Delft University of Technology. I am therefore bilingual in English and French and have taught French and English for 6 years to 7 students of different ages, needs, and nationalities.
The common thread? I adapt my teaching methods and interactions with the child based on their level and the approach they are used to. However, my goal is always to make the lesson relevant and engaging. I use tools like Miro to encourage active student participation.
We will first establish a diagnosis of the need and define learning objectives (focus on comprehension? speaking? writing) according to the context of language use (professional? school? social?).
I am dynamic, patient and gentle. My friends often say that I am good at breaking down and explaining things that may seem difficult in a simple way.
I would be happy to provide you with more information if needed and to meet you in person to discuss my offer.
See you soon !
Emma

Hello !
I have been passionate about education and playful learning for over 10 years. I earned a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Imperial College London, followed by a second Master's degree in Interaction Design from Delft University of Technology. During my studies, I worked with seven children of varying ages, needs, and nationalities (and therefore from different school systems). As a result, I am bilingual in English and French.
The common thread? I adapt my teaching methods and interactions with the child based on their level and the approach they are used to. However, my goal is always to make the lesson relevant and engaging. I use tools like Miro to encourage active participation from the child. When time allows, I like to challenge the child and go beyond the prescribed lesson.
Coming from the S stream (old system), I am able to give lessons / help with homework in all subjects, with a personal preference in sciences (physics, chemistry, life and earth sciences), languages (I am trilingual in English and Spanish) and in history and geography.
I am dynamic, patient, and gentle. My friends often say that I am good at breaking down and explaining complex concepts in a simple way.
I would be happy to provide you with more information if needed and to meet you in person to discuss my offer.
See you soon !
